  1. Not a shred of truth in that statement! I'm strictly a jeans and T-shirt guy and that would be like dressing up! The wife says when I die she'll have to bury me in jeans, a Harley polo shirt and my Harley boots 'cause I don't have anything nicer than that! <lmao>
  2. Brother, I think you've got me confused with Greg! HE'S the one that gets that schitt from his LGS and then comes here and brags that the store has more on the back shelf! I only have 4 lbs. of the stuff that I've been sitting on for over a year and am just getting ready to load up.It ain't for lack of trying though. I hit every gun store in Las Cruces and El Paso when I'm there, looking for powder! :fawkdance:

    +1
  4. Jon, the Fiocchi ammo had nothing on that ZQ1 stuff!
  5. There's a lot of different views on that newest letter on the SB-15.brace. Some fukhead wrote the ATF and asked if he could build an AR pistol with a brace and then shoot it from the shoulder. The general consensus so far is that he is building the pistol with the INTENT of using the brace to shoot it from the shoulder as a rifle, and that is why the letter advised him he would be in violation if he did so as he was creating a SBR. Another view on the situation is that the letter only applies to the person to whom it is addressed. It's a can of worms for sure, but I have no intention of removing my SIG brace and just got another barrel to build another pistol which will also have the SIG brace on it. There's about 6 pages of discussion on this over at arfcom in the AR-15 Pistol section that is worth reading. Lot of good points made on the whole situation in the thread.
  6. Greg, the 80% lowers are legal if you complete the machining yourself and use it to assemble a firearm for your own use. As long as you retain ownership of it it is legal. It doesn't even have to have a serial number! If you want to transfer it to another person I believe you have to engrave your name, location and a serial number on it and submit a form to the ATF, much like you do when you manufacture an SBR. I am not positive on that last part but that is the way I understand it. Shibi might be able to say for sure since he has a manufacturer's license.
  7. Well, I can tell you all one thing about the ZQ1 9mm ammo, that schitt is loaded HOT!!!! My daughter and I shot a box of Fiocchi FMJ through that Kel Tec PF9 I got at the NRA banquet and it was pretty decent shooting considering the gun is a pretty light piece. We then started shooting the ZQ1 through it. She shot about 5 rounds and wouldn't shoot any more of it and I got through a couple of magazines full before I said fuk that! The 240 gr. 44 magnum ammo I shot in my Anaconda felt pretty good after that 9mm! So I've got about 3 &1/2 boxes of the ZQ1 left. I'm going to give it to my buddy to shoot in his Smith M&P! <lmao>
  8. I shoot M80 147 gr. FMJ bullets over 45.5 grs. of Varget in my DPMS and they shoot in 1" groups or less all day.
  9. SS, he isn't having feed problems. The way I take it is that his bolt is dragging enough that it's so slow it isn't going completely into battery.
  10. Hope it's not PSA!
  11. The bolt carrier dragging on the top round in the mag is normal, if it didn't then the round wouldn't pop up in front of the bolt while cycling to be fed into the chamber. How wet are you running the BCG? The 308 platform seems to need a LOT of oil on the BCG (not the locking lugs) while being broken in. If your BCG isn't dripping wet this could be your problem.

Black-T brother! http://black-t.com/ I had Bob Birdsong put that finish on my concealed carry pistol 20 years ago and with VERY minimal care it has never rusted, and my sweat is really bad on firearms. I've always carried in either an IWB or pancake holster too. The self lubricating properties are no schitt too! I put a 4# trigger pull job on that 1911 (like I do for all my non-competition 1911's) before I sent it to him and when I got it back it was at 3#! He told me I didn't need to use any lube on the gun but I put a drop of oil on each slide rail after cleaning but that is all. I don't know why this finish isn't better known, as my grandson used to say, it's the shiznit!
  13. None of my mounts are QD, Once mounted and sighted in I've never had a reason to remove them. I don't have flip up BUIS on any guns either, but I can see where the QD would be useful there.
  14. Not true! We DO have Tom here and he has been known to wander off the beaten path! <lmao>
  15. As a police officer I open carried 42 hours a week (not including OT) and every moment I was around another person I had to think 'gun retention'. I'll stick with concealed carry, thank you very much!
  16. THAT is the whole thing right there! Would they rather I say "Hope you have a schitty December 25th"?
  17. Oakleys, I have the Ballistic M frames but use the standard M frame lenses. Those Ballistic lenses have some kind of coating on the inside that starts to peel at the edges and the standard M frames lenses don't. I have to drill a hole in the top center of the standard lenses for the Ballistic frame clip to make them work. I called Oakley about the peeling problem (I had three lense sets that were peeled) and they sent me one replacement. After that I just used the other lenses. I keep several sets of Wally World shooting glasses around for friends and family to use.
  18. Bwahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  19. If you're asking about the accuwedge, I've got them in a couple of my rifles. I like how they snug up the fit and they don't cost much. If you don't like it you're not out much.
  20. There is ALWAYS that one guy! <lmao>
  21. Fukk him! Hope he had a long wait for the next flight!
  22. Sounds like the knee has healed pretty good brother! <thumbsup>
  23. I did something like that back in April, 2010 in Virginia Beach. We had my son there for the high school wrestling Nationals and it rained all week and was cold as hell. We were staying at a hotel on the beach and the last morning we were there Josh says "Lets jump in the ocean before we leave!" Sonofabitch that was cold water!
  24. I have a stepson who always felt that someone else was the cause of his problems. He's in prison now! Imagine that!
