  1. Welcome from Iowa, via North Carolina!
  2. Looks right up my alley
  3. Looks nice! What does she weigh?
  4. New Belgium Voodoo Ranger Juicy Haze IPA. Really pretty close to those Tree House and Pseudo Sue IPA's, close. Real juicy, a little fruity up front but a nice hop bite to finish. pretty good for something in a nation wide distribution stream!
  5. Nope, contact lenses! Heard them bemoaning all the contact lenses that are flushed and how they muck up everything on CBS news. And of course usa today had an article; https://www.usatoday.com/story/money/business/2018/08/19/flushing-your-contact-lenses-down-drain-adding-plastic-waste-oceans/1020256002/
  6. I think this may be the scope I have been wanting for a 308 shorty. I have minor astigmatism so most cheaper red dots are only a short range option, no precision work at all. My Aimpoint is pretty sharp at first but acquires a little tail after a few shots. This new 1x prism claims to remedy that, just have to deal with a 3.7 inch eye relief. The reticle has lots of features but isn't to cluttered and the small size would be nice. And for 98, it comes in FDE! https://www.primaryarms.com/pa-1x-compact-prism-scope-with-acss-cyclops-reticle-fde
  7. That right there is something to be concerned about instead of dreamed up world ending straw theory. Bastards sit right off our shores harvesting fish that our fisherman can't touch due to regulation, and dam it I love seafood.........
  8. I believe that was the thread. Might have been a separate one with an article, this one I think; http://www.mssblog.com/2016/11/11/improving-tool-alignment-5-ways-to-float/

    Grilling

Not sure how I'm gonna ration that last half bottle..........got to make it count!
  10. SS can chime in on this, letting the shell holder float by using an O ring can help with runout, he had a pretty extensive thread with a discussion on it.

    Grilling

    That sucks.........
  12. I've installed both a GS2 and a MBT, the MBT has a better feel for me and is a good bit cheaper right now.
  13. Pretty sure they can't do that. 1968 GCA states "The serial number must be placed in a manner not susceptible of being readily obliterated, altered, or removed, and must not duplicate any serial number placed by you on any other firearm." and that would be duplicating it. Never heard of that being done but then there is a first time for everything. https://www.law.cornell.edu/cfr/text/27/479.102
  14. Could be the lighter weight of the .270 allows you to get back on target faster. More trigger time may help more than anything else, muscle memory does wonders!
  15. A heavier buffer doesn’t always equal keeping the rifle on target. The extra weight coming to a stop on the forward part of the cycle will move your sites. Most of the 3 gun crowd runs low reciprocating mass builds to help them with faster follow up shots.
  16. Unreal, they actually called straws a “gateway plastic,” anything to trigger an emotion...............
  17. White oak armament has +3 inch rifle gas tubes for $15 in stock. Of course changing a standard length will add cost to the barrel, special length equals special price.
  18. I suppose the pressure could be extrapolated with math but then why? Math can lie, pulling the trigger always tells the truth, works or it doesn’t.
  19. Down range. That doesn’t negate the effect on the action though, short tube still equals less gas acting on the BCG.
  20. My mind always goes back to the Houston wharehouse testing results on barrel length, they showed 21 3/4 to be the sweet spot. http://precisionrifleblog.com/2013/10/18/secrets-of-the-houston-warehouse-lessons-in-extreme-rifle-accuracy/ Bartlein is another cut rifling option with a pretty good rep. If you want the cheaper button rifling then Criterion would be hard to beat if they had your twist. I would do a bunch of research on what the PRS guys are using for a twist before picking an oddball. Oddball stuff means oddball price.
  21. If he wants 1,000+ yards he will use every inch. Palma guys often run 30+ inch barrels.

  23. I have about a hundred doses of old asthma medicine with belladonna. Tried chewing on the seed pods as a kid looking for a good time, not much buzz compared to how nasty it made me feel.
  24. We have moon flowers around here but never seen anything near that big. As they say, everything is bigger in Texas
  25. One factor may be the media only hires talking heads to parrot the establishment message of the day. They don't do investigative journalism anymore. I did see that on Fox and friends but they never fleshed out the story. Hadn't seen anything on the dead child. If this were a Christian church group there would be an entire media encampment with 24-7 coverage......think Waco.
