  1. I really need to follow your example! I've been trying to eat healthier but only seeing very modest results, hard to stay the course living on the road.
  2. I just loved this quote from the speech, channeling Reagan is what came to mind; “The problem in Venezuela is not that socialism has been poorly implemented but that socialism has been faithfully implemented,” Donald Trump And of course "Rocket man" made me chuckle, only thing better would have been rocket boy!
  3. I wish he would concentrate on arming Americans first but this may be a big help for the Kurds and I'm all for that. I've sent my suggestion to the politicians, hope y'all would consider the sending a note asking for the EPA regs to be lifted so American lead mines can be profitable again. American produced lead would help ammunition costs go down and seems to me to be a national security issue.
  4. funny........ sad but true! I am going to plagerize that on the Sig talk forum!
  5. You won't be laughing if you need a top dollar firearm fixed, send it in and then be told it is "in spec" when it has the same malfunction it did when you sent it in. Honestly these last couple issues show me they are starting to be more proactive when problems arise. It was almost two years of denials on the P938 MSH issue before they started installing correctly engineered parts, then they didn't put any info out, only corrected it for owners that used theirs enough for it to break. Notice they don't advertise with their old slogan "SIG, To hell and back reliability " . I have hopes these recent issues will prompt Mr. Cohen to get back to that mentality.
  6. Welcome from Iowa, via Arkansas!
  7. Sig is at it again, another recall for trigger issues, improperly heat treated two stage triggers. Since Ron Cohen became president of the company there has been one issue after another relating to poor QC. Besides all the firearms issues they put out an entire line of red dots and lasers in the late 2000's that were chinese junk. The man has supervised the dismantling of a great firearms company's reputation. The latest in the long line of shoddy QC; https://www.sigsauer.com/press-releases/sig-sauer-safety-warning-recall-notice/ I love my PM400 and MK 25's, would stake my life on them, but can't see myself buying any "sig innovation" any time soon and I'm not alone;
  8. Guess if you have a problem child then the individual attention is needed. Wish I had more time to reloading but looks like that will be a retirement pastime with this job. Redneck, Hillbilly, Dirthead I like'em all, you get even more points, shooting an AR308 and wearing a G&R T-shirt!
  9. Case gauges are relatively cheap. I use one after sizing and trimming and after loading, never had an issue. Checking every round in the rifle might get tedious.
  10. Damn, I remember him wrestling in what had to be the 70's. He really was a smart man, not many could make smart ass pay the bills, R.I.P. Bobby!

    Grilling

Oh man that makes me drool, sounds like I'd sweat a little too!
  12. The trend seems to have manufacturers tweaking the port location on barrels for the 308 so it's all bets off these days. Just finished a build that had the gas tube end way past the midpoint, I was surprised it didn't bottom out.
  13. Gas tube looks short to me. This is a carbine length gas system correct? You shouldn't have to break in a rifle but more lube, a little dripping won't hurt, and more rounds might get it going.
  14. Don't hold out on us now. Did you lube the crap out of it? How many rounds fired? Pictures of the gas tube end in the upper will rule that issue in or out. Sounds like it is short on gas a bit but 20 more rounds and some lube may see it running good, these things like to run wet at the start.
  15. We always called them corn spiders, they loved to build webs between the corn rows. Big and knarly looking but harmless to humans, death to other bugs. As a kid I would catch them in a jar and throw them on my sisters, they never bit, my sisters were a different story.......
  16. Look into the Fulton Armory HP BCG. I put one in the brother in laws build and it's a very nice piece. They back their stuff up as well, looks the same as JP but about half the price.
  17. Welcome from Iowa! How to make it more accurate??? Dig deep into your wallet when buying parts. Like anything else, you get what you pay for. On the flip side the info on this forum is free, lots of good reading that will help you shrink those groups.
  18. Stopped watching football two decades ago. I got tired of having certain cultures shoved down my throat. No doubt it is worse now than ever.
  19. Another advantage to letting them lay, they make good bait. The other vermin will come in to check their pockets !
  20. That's what I thought, funny at first but left me sad for my grandkids. I guess it may actually help a couple of them that are go getters, they will have an easy time competing with the slackers.
