  1. Had a nephew just move back to Iowa from there, said it has literally gone to pot. Rent and taxes increase while schools and infrastructure go to hell. He said the communist own it all now.
  2. Looking forward to your review! I don't really follow the "bleed off " part of how it works. I did notice the description at Rainier says it has 30 positions, that's twice what the SLR blocks have, might have to try one myself.
  3. Welcome from Iowa, via Pensacola!
  4. Here is a detailed explanation; http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/lid=12555/GunTechdetail/Headspace-Gauges-And-How-To-Use-Them-Part-I
  5. Let's hope the next administration will go after these scum at the root. Do it like Bill Casey, behind the scenes in a quiet but violent way. No headlines for followers to worship, just make them disappear.
  6. The bolt should not close on a no go gauge. Chamber specs are the same regardless of action type. If my bolt slid down from nothing more than its own weight I would change the rings.

  8. Wow, I thought my 11B gig in S2 was sweet, your's was a dream job! How did you end up with that assignment?
  9. I've got a couple SLR gas blocks, a set screw and a clamp on, in use with AR-15 platform rifles/pistols using slim handguards. I've got a 1/16 inch clearence to the bolt that holds the flat spring on a 300 BO build and seen no issue with it. " I've only found one barrel nut that will work to fit a tube large enough to clear the obnoxiously sized gas block. " Still not sure I follow, is the fitment issue getting the barrel nut over the gas block or the handguard not clearing the gas block?
  10. The SLR adjustable titanium gas block is pretty small, expensive, but small. Not sure why the barrel nut would have to go over it?
  11. SI makes it nice cover that installs easily http://www.strikeindustries.com/shop/index.php/products/rifle-accessories/ar/upper-parts/ultimate-dust-cover-for-308.html#.WHBx_mlOLYU There is a thread here on them if you use the search it should come right up.
  12. They make versions for both rifle and carbine extensions so swapping them out would not be an issue.
  13. Have you looked at the LUTH-AR adjustable? Pretty light for all the adjustment. I see it use a lot in the 3-Gun crowd now; http://www.luth-ar.com/
  14. Reports on FOX saying he had been to the Anchorage Alaska FBI office saying that US intelligence was in his mind making him watch ISIS videos on the internet, they turned him over to local LEO. More to this than they will ever let us know.
  15. Never know when someone will need a good buttstroking!
  16. 7 pounds........you need to look up a guy on the 6.8 forum by the name of Breastroker for some titanium advice; http://68forums.com/forums/member.php?19847-breastroker he claims a 5.5 lb build and shoots cloverleaves.
  17. He will be in my thoughts and prayers for sure.
  18. I agree, ended up right where they said on my port!

Welcome from Iowa, via Pensacola! Loved my M60 like a brother, even if it was heavy.

  21. I think 98 modified an Armalite B model catch ? What Chris puts in his LPK matches the B model Armalite but has a bit trimmed off the top. The Lancer mag issue is what made me look into it, the tab on the Matrix catch is just a hair off center compared to where they hit on my 716, got me what the Ruger catch would look like. I would love to be able to make the Lancers reliable in my Matrix build.
  22. I thought about that but my luck I would fake a number that had been stolen and have a SWAT team raid the place. Not sure I understand why they will not just sell one. Sig is the same way with their parts.
  23. Here is the contact form I used; https://ruger.com/dataProcess/customerService/ Here is the stock number from the instruction manual; NS01050 Bolt Catch SR-762
  24. I believe it is a modified Armalite B model catch, came in Chris's LPK.
