  1. I've had good results with this set for both 308AR and AR-15, they have barrel vise blocks as well, they sell full sets on ebay. https://www.plastixrevolution.net/collections/ar15-vise-blocks/products/223-ar-15-308-ar-10-upper-receiver-vise-block
  2. Thank you, I am now free to move on with my day.
  3. Geez thanks, now I'm going to spend who knows how many hours trying to figure out the name of that early pistol because I'm anal retentive! I just recently read a Firearms News article that referenced it but the name just won't come to mind...... I would give a 45 acp version some serious consideration, that extra barrel length would help the ballistics a good bit. It is ugly but then I don't open carry so who cares what it looks like.
  4. Is the yellow spring the lightest of the three?
  5. Truth!Best build decision I've made by far. Now I'm hoping she will want a rifle that can us a can when I get them, hers has the FH pinned. Another bonus is fewer complaints about bulk ammo buys.
  6. Welcome from Iowa, via Pensacola!
  7. Yep, the XM17 now instead of 320, they put a safety on it of course! http://www.recoilweb.com/us-army-awards-modular-handgun-contract-to-sig-sauer-124688.html
  8. I've only dry fired the 320 but it felt great in the hand and had a very nice trigger. If the Army goes with it then I'll have one soon after.
  9. That's how I ended up deciding on a 300BO, had always thought I didn't have a use for one until I was allowed to own suppressors then it became a must have. Still waiting for the first of three stamps to come in, 8 months since the first payment cleared now.
  10. Don't get to worried till you check headspace and install the barrel.Odds are you will be GTG.
  11. Is this the D.Wilson BCG listed above? All his stuff is DPMS pattern compatible. Have you checked headspace on the bolt? Is the barrel installed or are you just checking the BCG and upper fit?
  12. No changes for me, 938 soaking up some body heat, 226 at arms length, M400 with Surefire 100 round mag close by. Standard operating procedure when living on the road.
  13. Shoot it a good bit before you start swapping triggers and such. Lots of good options for glass in that price range if you don't need all the extras, Vortex is a good place to start looking.
  14. I 'be only run the SLR but have been nothing but happy with them. There is a new one out that has twice the adjustments the SLR has but I haven't heard from anyone that has actually used it; https://www.rainierarms.com/superlative-arms-adjustable-gas-block-bleed-off
  15. Spent about 3 weeks there putting in sidewalks. They are BIG on duck hunting there for sure.
  16. I remember Grandma using wax to pluck turkey and geese on the farm. Looks like a great time and a nice variety of birds. What area was the hunt in? I spent a couple years working in Arkansas, met lots of good folks there,
  17. Just ordered a Primary Arms 3x magnifier and ADM mount combo from ADM, $135. Interested to see the "extended eye relief " feature, my Vortex 3x catches my glasses once in a while when shooting the 716.
  18. Many that claim to want Liberty these days are some of the first to demand government solve a problem for them. Most fail to understand that true Liberty is inherently dangerous. Liberty first, security has to come later and from each and every individual doing their part, not from an over reaching government. And yes, the NFA should be repealed!
  19. The JP jam nut is going to work like a spacer. The collar on the FH will go over top the jam nut, just hiding it and letting me index it. I won't know for certain this works till the can gets out of jail and I can check the alignment but it looks like it should be fine.
  20. First there would be some back door action, then out the front door she goes without even a chance to wipe!
  21. That's as good a price as Armalite has when they are in stock, They are out right now but you can get a notification when they have them in; https://armalite.com/shop/ar-10-field-repair-kit/
  22. What size are the square on that target?
  23. QC seems to be a challenge for the new Armalite management.
  24. Very good chance it will be the B series having been built several years ago. Might be some clues in this video;
