  1. Not in Iowa! No SBR's, No Silencers, No Autos allowed, trust or no trust, I'll kiss you if you prove me wrong! I'm thinking there are issues in other states as well.
  2. Short of my P938 I don't think I own anything cali legal so you'd have to go east!
  3. 5 decimeters?....damn I miss the little emoticons.........
  4. If you have an Armalite BCG then the barrel needs to have an Armalite pattern extension on it. Same with the DPMS/LR-308 pattern, the two don't mix in that department. There are some other subtle differences. I always post the parts I'm thinking about buying here for evaluation, there are lots of little issues with building these rifles and the guys here have ran into nearly all of them so they can steer you the right way. Work that search function here and you'll find about everything you need to know and a bunch you don't;)
  5. I bought the d. wilson BCG, NIB carrier with nitrided bolt, haven't got the build together yet but the finish is great. Same treatments and lightning cuts as the high end guys for a good budget price!
  6. Fixed it. Stick with all Armalite AR-10 and there are no issues.......except waiting for the parts to come off backorder.
  7. Is this an Armalite AR-10? If it is they will take care of it, ask for Mario, at least he was there to handle things for me a year ago. What were the suggestions for break-in? Lots of lube I hope? Is this an actual double feed from the magazine or is the fired case not ejecting? I'm far from an expert trouble shooter but I know the guys here will ask some of these questions. Some of us Armalite owners are a little possesive of the AR-10 trademark, that designation is reserved strictly for Armalite rifles. Doesn't sound like a big deal but parts compatibility is an issue with the 308 platform.
  8. I've got the rifle length version from the same year, OUTSTANDING RIFLE! You got a great deal if it is in good order. P-mags are nice because they are cheap and everywhere but those B-mags for the AR-10 are built tough! I wouldn't be surprised if they don't start selling at a discount soon with very few B models being sold now. Watch CDNN for sales; http://www.cdnnsports.com/magazines.html?brand=1351
  9. Welcome from Iowa!
  10. Have you got plenty of ammo?
  11. American soldiers save the frogs again...........God Bless Our Troops!
  12. A bit of info here, from the ruger section of the forum.
  13. If I touch the time under the last posters avatar it brings me to the last post on my iphone.
  14. Stay safe on that vacation Brother! Hope you have a kick azz rifle waiting when you get back.
  15. I miss the preview post button...........
  16. tag, your in!
  17. Shotgun News just did a write up on this rifle, don't mean to rub it in but at least you can read up on it....for the next one B)
  18. I went to college at 45, I knew it would be bad but really had no idea how far the brainwashing had gone. I did my best to spread the word to the kids, they didn't understand how I got away with challenging what the instructors were saying.........facts are facts and the Libs learned real fast I would beat them over the head with it if they tried to discount it. I managed to get one fired and two reprimanded for spouting bullschit opinion as fact, worth every dime I spent even if they couldn't teach me anything.
  19. :'( sad but true, if this society can be salvaged it will require all of us to stand up and lead our family, friends, and community. Just look around, people are starving for real leadership. This mess will take a million John Galt's to straighten out!
  20. <dontknow> I might be warming up to this "two shot group" idea. I would save on ammo, my average group size would be greatly improved as I usually throw a flier at 4 or 5 anyway, might help my self esteem .......... :ugone2far: ahhhhh bullschit! It don't count unless you send the whole mag as fast as you can acquire the target, that is where the rifles quality and shooters skill are truly tested. :soap: Otherwise just bolt the damn thing down to the bench........... "Lightweight" :binkybaby: has such a negative connotation...........
  21. Damn.....I'm out of popcorn............
  22. They were on 10T a couple years or so ago offering cheap pre-orders when they started up, no takers there.
  23. The longer I see it together the more OK I am with the gap. I'm doing my best to not let budget stop me from ending up with what I want but when I do the numbers on the UBR option with the extras it adds at least a month to the completion date.........wish I could find a rifle with it locally to put my hands on before I made the call. Still a lot of little stuff to get that adds up faster than I realized.
  24. Have you asked LaRue? They have pretty responsive customer service. It has been out for some time now so I'm betting they will know what works and will fill you in. http://www.laruetactical.com/contact-us If you get an answer let us know!
