  1. ^^^^This.
  2. I knew a person that smoked pot every day and didn't get a positive, no tricks the test just didn't show it. Now his buddies he smoked with got the positive.......this was back in the 80's so maybe the tests are more accurate now but I've seen them not work. I took prescription Marinol, it is a synthetic THC I was told. It was given for nausea and didn't really work all that well. It gave me a "not negative" result on UA's. They would then test me again and want details on any medications I was taking. They told me a more in depth test the second time confirmed it was marinol and not pot.
  3. I post these alot but hey, the truth needs repeated. Pass them along;
  4. I can see why a Gunsmith doing trigger work would want a trigger pull scale but for me if it feels good then I'm good, doesn't really matter if it is 2.5 or 4.5 as long as I like it.
  5. I bought one that advertised itself as a 308AR assist with a longer pawl to reach the serrations, I'm hoping it doesn't cause me any issues with the d. wilson carrier. Forum rules prevent me from posting the link, that and the site has since removed these tactical items. I'll try to remember to post a picture and measurement for reference. Midway has this note on the DPMS forward assist; "NOTE: This Forward Assist Assembly may be used with LR-308 platform rifles but will require the use of a different LR-308-Specific Forward Assist Spring (Sold Separately, Midway Product # 813-957)." I'm not sure I understand what difference a spring will make? I've now decided I should have just bought a plug for the hole and drilled it to serve as a vent.
  6. On the bottom of the page there is an asterisk followed by "Single action only on this platform" any idea what this means?????
  7. I don't understand all the indignation about the video, ISIS does this and worse on a regular basis..........it hardly gets covered these days. I feel bad and pray for the family but no more than those that are slaughtered by the muslim extremists.
  8. The country deserves this for letting the NFA stand.......should have squashed this bug before it had a chance to breed, now it will take a major extermination campaign if it is even possible to stop the infestation. Wonder if the NRA will back this one through some back room deal???????
  9. Even the d. wilson site titles their BCG's as AR-10 then calls them out as DPMS pattern in the description. I chalk it up to marketing, everyone wants their product attached to the goodness that is an Armalite AR-10;)
  10. Keep us posted on the experiment!
  11. Never got one dirty yet. I think I'll stick with coated carries and go with nitride, QPQ or melonite bolts, they don't add any dimension or wear off.
  12. P938 is the only one I have issues with that they don't seem to be able to fix, all the rest have been great shooters!
  13. I never have understood why Sig didn't get that beavertail up, all I can think of is there classic models have a high bore so they didn't want to risk the change. They are late to the party in this respect. I still wouldn't give up my MK25's, high bore or not!
  14. Threaded barrels can have "target crown's" go threaded and use a thread protector if you don't want a muzzle device. d.wilson makes a sweet looking BCG; http://www.dwilsonmfg.com/store/c5/AR10_Parts.html
  15. I still think my AR-10 is the $hit! Ethel will always be my gal, regardless of what direction the Armalite name goes..........
  16. I used to go to 11..............broke the knob though..........
  17. I watch a bunch of TV late at night when I can't sleep.......Gun's and Ammo, Gunny Time, Gun Stories, Stop the Threat??, Trigger Time, 3 Gun Nation, Davidson's, The Ruger show, the Beretta show, and a few more I can't think of right now...............
  18. After the way they got rid of Pat I quit bothering................ You would think the makers would want to avoid the hassle of selling to someone that thinks it will fit their rifle, most are just clueless though.
  19. Hit a few old school country auctions, I always see boxes of jars going for a buck or two a box, nobody seems to want them anymore.
  20. UN Ammo has 800 rounds for $595 shipped; http://unammo.com/
  21. I won a Viridian laser on a raffle at the 10T site. They had a points system going and we turned in points for raffle chances. There were points for posts, thank yous, referrals, ect. The upside was those that contributed the most had the best chance, downside was newer members were pretty much left out so the new members that showed up for the raffle didn't stick around.. There are lots of random number generator programs out there both for assigning numbers and drawing them. I like the "like" system when it gives the people that put time into the site to help others the best shot at a prize, that is good for the vendors as well because those are the guys that are more likely to post a review of the product.
  22. Amen Brother! Sadly the unconstitutional crap known as the NFA has gained acceptance, even the NRA refuses to fight..........
  23. So it is a DPMS LR-308 then, not an AR-10. You don't need much for lube in the bore and the chamber, actually any excess should be wiped out, extra lube inside the chamber can cause extraction issues. The BCG should be soaked liberally though. Is the spent case remaining partially in the chamber or is it fully extracted but not ejected? Is the issue with one mag or with any mag you try? I think SS is on the right track, really sounds like an ejection issue but a bit more info is needed. More pictures of the rifles feed ramps with a mag inserted may help. Take a camera on the next range trip and get a picture of the jam. This will help the pros here diagnose the issue.
  24. Better to ask than end up with a bunch of expensive parts you can't use!
