  1. Welcome from Iowa!
  2. More who not to buy from than who to buy from lesson here. Sounds like you have a nice tight fit, excellent for accuracy. Try some heat;
  3. Hold on to that sucker, collecting tolls can be quite lucrative when law and order breaks down....... hell you have the manpower to staff it 24-7 with those boys
  4. Welcome from Iowa!
  5. Another Newbie
  6. I got Newbie badge Then I made a post and got a "posting machine" badge........
  7. Warms my heart, another angel gets its wings
  8. I have a pile of adjustable gas blocks, wanted that adjustability for suppressor use. Number one thing overall I have noticed is I rarely adjust anything, bunch of different specific reasons for that but facts is facts. I actually removed one from a 300 BO build, it has become part of the secured "storage device" for a suppressor, no need to put anything in there that could grab carbon fouling, reliability requirement called for uncomplicating the gun a bit.
  9. You gonna fix it yourself or warranty it?
  10. I've broken a bolt catch. Bolts do break so good to have a spare ready. Extra springs, pins, extractor and ejector, I did have an ejector gall up on me once. I wouldn't say any of them break often.
  11. Wide open then back down to failure to lock back, back up a notch or two or three depending on your priority, softness vs. reliability, just remember this is tuning to a specific ammo, adjustment may be required with changes. Changes in a guns ejection pattern are a good indicator of weakening springs. I never care where they go to start as long as the gun runs, just try to pay attention to changes...... can't hardly afford to wear out springs these these days though.
  12. ^^^ That right there. You will want to revisit the gas setting after a good break-in period.
  13. Well crap, that fits a niche I need to fill, good stuff and the lifetime warranty to boot.
  14. Best M80 ball I've ever had is some FN surplus, good luck finding it, maybe a gun show. Had some PPU that was good, had some federal XM80 that was good and had some that was really bad.
  15. They won't cost that much more than shipping the barrel back and forth to Criterion, then you have them for the next build. I wouldn't mess with the lugs, they will mate up with their partners pretty quick from just rounds down range. Lube it up and run a couple boxes, start out one round at a time hoping for lockback then load it up as it starts to function. That's all quality parts so expect her to be a little tight to start.
  16. For sure, they were much more surgical and conservative in their manipulations, they actually cared about public perception of their work. Today's manipulations are more like a large blunt object steadily hammering peoples brains regardless of who sees what.
  17. If you go the pouches route you can get a quantity cheap with the German surplus stuff. Not considered high speed gear for door kicking but they will hold a 20 rounder. https://www.sportsmansguide.com/productlist/military-surplus/military-shooting/mag-pouches/germany?d=122&c=167&s=208&country_of_issue=Germany
  18. Are you sure about that? Are you sure they were not involved in any manipulations, knowingly or unknowingly? Mockingbird has been around since the 50's and that's just one operation that was admitted to. Where we are know is the result of generational crimes against us.
  19. Self reliance, the kind of stuff that makes America Great. Stay safe Brother!
  20. So I'm not fighting of the hoard but things are still bad I gather, schit has still hit? I have to go with a gun rather than a caliber, I have a Savage 24 in 20 ga. mag. and 22 mag. I have the ammo with it to harvest any game around me for several decades on hand, just in case, been shooting that thing since I remember, it has literally fed generations in my family. For me in this situation I have to go with 308 Win. It is what I am set up for best and I know others that have 5.56 covered well. I had a pretty limited caliber focus....... until I started hanging around here.
  21. Welcome from Iowa! That NM is a slick rifle now!
  22. I got a new way a walk'n myself.
  23. Wonder if anyone will be reminding you of this come fall.
