I went down the AAC route years ago. So I've set up just about all of my rifles with their QD muzzle devices. From 5.56 to 7.62 across the board. The 300BO is by far the quietest. It's just too funny because it's "hollywood" quiet. All you really hear is the action of the rifle and the thump of the round hitting the berm, or the "ting" of the round hitting the metal plate.
7.62 on the other hand. You can get it so it's hearing safe with a decent can. But that's about it. There's always gonna be some kind of "crack" as the round pops off.
I'd go with the murphy door idea along with Tom's Secureit system. Those look pretty cool. Of course, me being me, I'd take it to the next step and motorize the door.
I can feel for you brother. I hate those lazy ass back stabbed devices. I also tape everything regardless of whether it's in a plastic or steel box.
I hate residential work in general. Give me commercial any day of the week.
Just cold and rainy here in the 'hood' Maryland suburbs of DC. Around 30 outside but nothing really freezing over yet. It was about the same when I left the Martinsburg (West Virginia) house early this morning.
Yes. Happy Thanksgiving to all of you no good, low down, enabling and deplorable rat bastards.
I look forward to the next time that the entire crew can get together again.
The 308AR teams are a tight knit family. Even when we argue or disagree.
Yep. I've seen that one before. And from our generation, who didn't love the Carol Burnett show? Always good for a laugh. Especially when Tim Conway and Harvey Korman were together.
