Rene is ALWAYS welcome at the hermit lodge! ..............................just sayin -
First of all. Welcome to the forum my man. 2nd. Yes. It's only compatible with the DPMS/SR25 (M-110) pattern of 308's. I ain't gonna bash your equipment, but it's definitely the beginning of your dive into the 308 world. CMMG is known for having some issues, but around here.....we try to think that ingenuity can try to fix anything. Not to be a stickler, but no, it's not an AR-10 (but I've been known to have a biased opinion). Armalite's are AR-10's. The others are 308 AR's.....not taking anything away from many of them. There are some pretty sweet rifle's made by many different outfits. Throw out any questions that you may have my brother. That's what all of us are here for. All of us are always bouncing ideas off of each other. Semper Fi!

Come on now......you don't really want his kind around there. Next thing you know....he'd be going from door to door selling policeman's balls tickets........or for bike rally's.....or something like that. NOW......a good ol fashioned, keep to himself, don't bother nobody kinda guy (unless he's F-ed with) , hermit like me......would probably fit in real easy. And hell.....I always have beer. <laughs> BUT.........Rob's always invited though. -
I'm with Matt on this one. If the price is similar.....I'd go for the magnification.....just because. But......with that being said. Being one of the card-carrying enablers of the site......I'd say get one of each and just build another rifle. <laughs>
-
Me personally, I'd never get rid of an M1A (M14). But, with that being said, I've never gotten rid of anything. I don't ever seem to sell......I just seem to add to the collection. Just me.

I say.....as long as it works (for you)......go for it! just thinkin out loud

SIghts.....I'm a F-ing dumbass. I already had this optic for one of my AR-10 Carbines. But on a whim, I placed it on the SBR (Laura), and just ran around the back yard for a little while playing dark ops (it's the kid that still comes outta me), and I noticed that it fits perfect on her. I think that it's fitting for the night before our nations birthday. But anyway, I figured that I'd throw a pic up just so you guys would get the idea. Sorry.....just a crappy cell phone pic.......but you get the idea. And now........the TA-11-E on my sexy lady................................... Don't mind the ugly MF-er holdin her.....he don't mean no harm (why is he all in black?).

I won't say anything negative about the others since I don't have any of them. But, I do know, that with the NF scopes.....besides being nice glass....they're durable. They'll absorb being "bounced" and still be intact. That....and if you run out of ammo, you can pop it off the rifle and use it like a club and beat somebody with it. Then, when you get re-supplied, put it back on the rifle and still be able to utilize it. The picture that they (the company) show after a 7.62x39 round went through one....and the soldier simply duct-taped it (to keep the sand out of it) and continued on until he got back to base. Well.....that's pretty impressive. just my opinion.

Welcome aboard MJK1. It looks like you've a got a A4 version. I think that they used to call it a target rifle since it didn't have a threaded barrel (Can't hold me to it........memory sucks). And yes, I believe the flip-down monopod is an add-on piece for the PRS Stocks. But, the PRS uses a rifle length receiver extension, which you already have with the A2 buttstock, so you're good to go on that if you wanna swap that out. As far as dates. I'd do what zipdog suggested and contact Armalite. They'll be able to tell you. Enjoy blasting away with it my man.

^^^^ I was thinking the same thing.

Now that's funny. Those are 3 words that you never hear...............upgrade TO CMMG. <laughs>
-
Or just remove the switch and use old fashioned wire nuts (or butt-splice) in it's place.

I think that we're all in the same boat in that aspect. -
She is a sweetheart brother. She's sexy and loud......just like the girl I once knew that I named her after. Whenever we finally get to meet up, and you have the chance to fondle her.....you'll come away loving her too. Fun times my brothers.
-
I guess that makes us even. Now we can go have a beer. <laughs>

Let's see now. You get to ride a bike for a living (being a LEO). You get to play with guns for a living (also being a LEO). You get to do flying tackles on scumbags without being arrested (being a LEO). AND you've got a line on 300 BLK. Well..........don't you have it tough. YOU SUCK! I think I hate you (in a brotherly kinda way). <laughs>

Never a truer word spoken. Right on Robo.

Ok fella's. I finally got a chance to take the 10 SBR (Laura) out to the range this morning. I did it like any other right-thinking American would after staying up half the night. Tired as hell and still hungover (if not still buzzed.......only slept about 2 hours). First of all, it's in the 80's.....I'm F-ing tired (long week brothers)....I'm sweating alcohol at 0700.........but the range is perfect. Not one other M-Fer around. All by myself (shocker.....I don't really like people)......except all of my brothers from around here that is. Second.......this was just a functionality test. So don't any of you rat-bastards start bitching that I didn't post any pics of some targets. After all.....how many pictures of holes in paper do you ladies need to see anyway? Sheesh! So I set the target up and proceed to do slow 5 round groups. Like I said before, I wasn't even trying to zero the girl.......this was more a function test. I did this for about an hour before I started speeding her up. Well, boys.....I gotta tell you. She runs FLAWLESS. I mean, she never even burped. And that was even doing mag dumps as fast as I could pull the trigger. No FTF's.....no FTE's......she just kept chewing up rounds as fast as I could put them through her. She's perfect. Everything that I've expected from her. I'm not gonna run her with the can until I can change the gas block out. I've just got the block that came with the Noveske barrel for now. And anybody who has tried running the 10 platform without choking down the gas knows why. They'll run.....but not for long. Way too much power and heat. Even using hi-temp bearing grease on the carriers isn't enough. At least from what I've experienced. Anyway........I just figured that all the brothers who have been following this thread from the start would be interested in the final outcome. NOW........on to sights...............probably another EOTech. Haven't decided yet. Semper Fi my brothers.

If only there was 300 BLK ammo in stock also. I can't find that stuff anywhere.
-
Whoa. That blows brother.

Is that the XM80C that LC is putting out in the all white Federal boxes? If so, I'd say go for it. 85 cents a round isn't bad these days. It could be better, but it also could be worse. I mean, even before the numnuts in December, LC was going for somewhere around 60 to 65 cents a round (if I remember correctly).

Welcome aboard Brandon.
-
Oh.....now you're just poking! I see how it is. Just for that, you don't get to go first with the AR-10 SBR (Laura) whenever we meet up. <laughs> You can load mags and reload beers at first. Hmmmpphhh!
-
Welcome aboard Ed. We wish you luck in trying to grow your business. That's what this country is all about. Little guys, growing their companies.

Here you go my man. You can skip towards the end to check out the final pics after she was finally put together.
