  1. This has sorta been like a tennis match....as you crane your neck back and forth to follow the action. But, in true 308AR.com style, the 2 combatants are using the rackets to club each other over the head. This is why I love this crowd.

  4. Welcome aboard from Maryland.
  5. Since I was already geared up for building this weekend. I figured that since I finished up the SBR yesterday, I'd keep driving forward and start the next build. So, it's off to my 2nd AR-10 SASS. I plan for this one to end up with a kick ass tiger stripe paint job courtesy of my brother 98. I've got all the parts on hand for this one except for the glass. I'll go stumble through the door of my local gun pusher once I finish this one to find a nice optic. I got the complete rail and gas system from our man Pat Raley (Thanks Pat) a couple years ago. Before that, I had found a steal of a deal from Armalite for a complete upper with the SASS barrel, but with standard plastic handguards and flashider.. So I've been sitting on that one just waiting for the right time. I'll ditch the plastic handguards, and replace them with the SASS quad rail/adjustable gas system. Then I'll replace the flashider with an AAC brake. Oh, I'll lose the standard charging handle and replace it with a Raptor. All Armalite parts except for the Geissele SSA-E, Raptor charging handle and the PRS stock. So, for now, we'll move on to the pics. I put the lower together today, and I'll get to re-building the upper probably next weekend. 1 - Lower built (I had forgotten how much of a pain in the ass the take down pin detent was to put in these bitches) lost one during the install. Other side. Here it is with the plastic handguard upper snapped to it just to test function. Other side. Up close and personal.
  6. No different than an SBR.
  7. That's pretty damn sexy brother.
  8. Dammit. We all get those calls.
  9. Don't you have Zelle dude? If not, just tell me how many you want and I'll Zelle Larry the dough for you. Then you can send a check through the mail to me or something.
  10. Hey now. That's an authentic sex doll mister. It came out of the, now long gone, Star Trek experience in Vegas, before they tore it down.
  11. Okay ladies. I finally got all of my parts orders in. Some had been delayed for a bit. Hmmm, I wonder if some trucks got in the way somewhere? So without any further dicking around, since pics around here are all that matter. Here's the little guy. 7" Noveske with a Noveske KX5 on the muzzle, all crammed into a Wilson combat rail. Finally together. Trijicon MRO mounted on an ADM QD mount. From the other side. Just under 27" when collapsed. Around 30" when fully extended (for ATF measurements) Jammed into a bag. Pretty plain looking case. One down. On to the next ones now.
  12. That blows brother. Senseless loss is just that......senseless.
  13. Welcome aboard from Maryland.
  14. And it's DOC for the win.
  15. Is it me? Or does it seem like lately a lot of dumb-asses drive around with their high beams on?
  16. Welcome aboard from Maryland.
  17. Nice.
  18. Good looking rifle brother.
  19. And speaking of random topics. Why is it that every dumbass mother-fuker acts like they've never seen an ATM before when it's their turn in line? Just asking for a angry, bitter friend.
  20. We can automate that too dude. (just to carry on from the other thread)
  21. Welcome from Maryland.
  22. Oh yeah. You're right Jim. I'm a dumbass for not thinking of that. That would be a better way to go SteelonSteel. Although they don't show any field repair kits in stock right now. Looks like DSGand Primary Arms don't have any either. That's a good kit to have around anyway. Hell, any spare parts are a good thing to have around. I've got some extra gas rings. If you want, PM me an address and I'll drop one in the mail for you.
  23. Welcome from Maryland.
