  1. I think I see where you're going............
  2. I've got one of those rails on my AR-10 A2 carbine Charlie. Definitely get the round cap. Not a bad 2 piece rail system. Looking back though. I'd probably just pull the delta ring and put a regular free float rail on it that would still allow the FSB. The rail tends to try and rotate a little after extended fire. Not rapid fire mind you. Just after hundreds of rounds sent downrange. Even with Locktight on the fastener points. As a plain, simple rifle. I love this plain jane A2 carbine. She just works.
  3. Nothing on my end.
  4. We're thinking right along the same lines my brother. It's just unnerving to think that we might have passed the point of no return. But I'm also the first person to shout out that "People Suck". Which is also why I try to interact with as few of them as I possibly can (outside of work naturally).
  5. AND.....because I'm the Trek guy around here. I bring you, the one....the only...........William Shatner. Try and tell me that you didn't laugh.
  6. That's a damn shame. Both for the crew on board, and the loss of a historic plane.
  7. I've got a couple of the older EOTech SOCOM 553 models, that had the QD mount from the factory. One of them is on my DD MK18, and the opther on a 300 black SBR. Those things are deadly accurate around 100 yards or less. Accurate outside that also. I'm with 98 on these, don't believe the hype that was put out about them a couple years ago.
  8. I love Bill Whittle. He's a common sense guy. He's one of us. He also did a great documentary on the anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing. It's a 4 part doc. So you'll have to strap yourself in. But it's a great historical recap.
  9. You're such a comedian. And yes........that was pretty damn funny.
  10. And I didn't even get to say hello yet. Well?.......................................Hello.

  12. Welcome aboard from Maryland my man.
  13. Welcome aboard from Maryland.
  14. Oh $hit. They must have finally gotten the coordinates of the Super Secret Desert Facility of 308AR.com
  15. Welcome aboard from Maryland. MAGA
  16. I'm not surprised by this actually. Anything......ANYTHING, that someone use's on a phone (app), tablet or computer for that matter....can be seen by the spooks in charge. If they really wanna see it. I guess I'm one of these that have been "looked into" since I bought one of these ATN setup's over a year ago. My answer is still the same. They can all EAT ME on a hot, sweaty day. While I put this whole rig together (optic, laser range finder, rail-mount thumbwheel adapter...........that all bluetooth's together), and it has the capability to stream (WIFI) to a phone or tablet, in order to get atmospheric data in order for the "smart" optic to correct for range/distance/windage. All of this was to perform testing (READ THAT PROPERLY NSA BOYS......I'm right down the road from you) to actually see if the system provided by ATN would actually perform as they had stated. But.......I got sidetracked. Besides this "Obsidian" app. Who thinks that they can't be watched, tracked or used for "simple" data gathering in this day and age, when they carry any electronic device? I'm not being a paranoid, tin-foil hat guy. It's just being realistic. If you're connected.......then you're connected. I work in the technology field (even being just commercial automation and controls). But you'd be amazed at what can be done, behind the scene's, as you simply peck away at a computer/tablet/phone. ANY connected device. And yes Tom.....even your flip-phone (as you know). If it's electronic and connected. THE MAN always knows where you are. Okay......that's enough......now I need to go smear another layer of yellow mustard on the walls (It keeps the signals from penetrating ya know)
  17. I don't know why you would say something like that.
  18. I'm likin where this is goin.

    Grilling

I think I'm good for that duty post. I'll keep the cooler close by, to keep me stoked as the fire gets stoked.
  20. I don't shop at walmart anyway. So they can EAT ME on a hot, sweaty, August day.

Well it's working brother. On your hands.....and the ribs. Those look downright delicious.
  22. God damn I love the old Far Side cartoons. Gary Larson was hilarious
  23. Welcome from Maryland.
  24. Even before that. When it was still the "Grand National" Series Yes. I remember all too well the Winston Cup years. And a lot of good times at races. It was pretty much a sign, when Winston (RJ Reynolds) dropped their sponsorship of the sport in the early 2000's. The sport was already changing radically. More drama...less focus on the actual mechanical aspect. Shocker...some of us actually followed the sport for the mechanical performance/car setup/race strategy angle, rather than the bull$hit they started shoveling in the average viewers direction. We could care less what a "driver" did when he (HE) wasn't behind the wheel. I mean.....who didn't love that first brake rotor cam angle, when ESPN first thought of putting it on a car at Martinsville? I think that was somewhere around '95 (ish). We could see the rotor GLOW in the corners and the tire sidewall deflect heavily as they dove into the turn. Watch the shock and spring compress as it got loaded up. My old lady would look at me and wonder why I was all steamed up about it. Does any "modern era" fan even know who Junior Johnson is? Buddy Baker? Harry Gant? Benny Parson? And the list can go on...................... Do they even know about Rockingham? North Wilkesboro? (Great Carolina short tracks) And don't even get me started about all of the Toyota Fags. That was a slap in the face to all the traditional Stock Car enthusiast's the moment they let them enter into the sport. And I'm not just saying that cause I bleed Ford blue. They bought their way into the series. But.......I digress. The fact that they've decided to ban gun/rifle sponsors doesn't surprise me in the least. This era of political correctness and social justice has destroyed yet another icon of American heritage. All we can do, is look back, at was once a great American sporting event.
  25. DAMMIT!
