  1. You lost me.
  2. Alright ladies. For any of you bastards that think that us control/automation guys only work with our laptops. Suck on it. So, we're getting close to finishing our re-fit of the chiller plant in the NOAA headquarters here in Silver Spring MD. It's been 3 months so far, and we're probably looking at about another month to finish things up completely (before getting rushed off to the next one). For the size of building that it is, the mechanical system is pretty basic for a commercial office building. Theose new chillers in the pictures though are pretty sweet (as far as chillers go). They're the oil-less type with magnetic bearings. Those fukers are pretty quiet (relatively), even when running under a heavy load. Anyway, here's a quick rundown. A view trying to catch most of the mechanical room: A reverse look back at the chillers: A shot of the primary condenser and chilled water pumps: The custom built control panel that I fabricated, wired and programmed. We're still not done, like I said, so it's not all cleaned up yet. : A closer look at the panel : A panel that we installed to control a $hit load of 2 position, line voltage valves. We open and close the valves (obviously) as well as monitor their position. : A closer look at that same relay panel. I custom built this panel on site also, besides the main control panel. It's also not 100% complete yet. It should get wrapped up early next week, and then all of the wire-trough covers will be cut and snapped into place. That'll clean the whole look of it up. : So.....don't always laugh at us control fuks. Some of us actually run the conduit, hang the panels, build the panels, pull the wiring and terminate the wiring as well as doing the programming. I like my work.......I just hate my job sometimes.......as we all do. Carry on ladies.
  3. Well played my friend.........well played.
  4. That looks pretty fukin cool my man. You better get your ass down to AZ in the fall so I can shoot it. Otherwise..............you SUCK!
  5. I got 3 Armalite AR-10 carbine length gas tubes coming (for spares). An AR-10 complete BCG (once again as a spare). Some AR-15 gas rings (cause I didn't have any in stock), and some 338 chamber brushes (cause I hate cleaning $hit).
  6. That's funny. I was just going through my parts bins the other day (taking inventory), and I came across 3 Armalite carbine tubes and 5 springs. Hell, I had forgotten that I had those......thus the inventory thing. Surprisingly enough though, I only had one carbine gas tube. Now that doesn't sound like me at all. I'm usually too obsessed with redundancy to just have one. The overall inventory was productive though. What started with a pencil and a clipboard, turned into 4 pages of $hit. Found 4 AR-15 stripped lowers. One was even already engraved as an SBR lower. Apparently I forgot to build that one. It ain't easy being as dumb as I am ya know. Found a billet Black Rain fallout 10 matched set that I never built. And most of all.......2 stripped Armalite AR-10 lowers. One of them was to build a second SASS, but I was gonna have Tom hit it with his FDE paintjob. I got the handguard /gas system from Pat Raley a while back. I think the other was for an A2 carbine that I used the lower for my Leonidas SBR. And then.............................TONS of parts. Sheesh......as if I don't have enough projects going on around the house already.
  7. Damn. You weren't kidding when you said blow out prices. I may have to buy a couple "just because".
  8. Those WC rails are solid. I've got one on one of my SBR builds. If the rifle goes click, you can beat them with the rail.
  9. Yep, you stay on em Matt. For a guy that wants to constantly ram that desert down our throats, he's all skeered about buying a little suppressor........or two.......or three.
  10. Happy belated birthday Mack. Love those Kabar's.
  11. Welcome from Maryland.
  12. A belated happy birthday to Tom-Ass. And an early happy birthday to Matt. HFB to both of you deplorable brothers.
  13. Nope. Sounds like it's hers now.
  14. Is that a tiger striped Desert Eagle at the bottom?
  15. Welcome from Maryland.
  16. Definitely.
  17. I'm right there with you. That's why I pretty much run the same trigger in most of my rifles.
  18. Ya cheap bastard. Always counting pennies.
  19. I'm 50/50 on this. I think it has a place for certain rifles. I've got some "A2 style" rifles, and I like them as much as any other. They're purpose built, no nonsense and no batteries needed kind of rifles. Nothing wrong with that. I've got an AR-10 A2 carbine that I absolutely love. And it's deadly accurate at the "minute of man" level. That being said, we all have other rifles that are built out to different specs and for different applications. As far as back up sights? Everybody has their opinion about them. Some see them as useless, others see them as for what they are.....a back-up. Me? I run them on just about everything I have that's not an A2 style AR. I'm not worried about the couple of ounces that they may add to a particular weapon. But they're all the micro style.
  20. He's saying that because a lot of the manufacture's play around with the gas port/gas tube length measurements. They think that they're smarter than the average bear, and re-inventing the wheel. You'll wanna stick with an Armalite gas tube for that barrel. And I'm not sayin that just because I'm the "Armalite pusher", just because it'll be the correct size (length) for what you need.
  21. I'm liking that Enfield my brother. Looks good. FUK. I gotta make it out to Indiana some time. Oh..........and you SUCK by the way.......you fukin bastard. (just in general to keep your head from being inflated )
  22. Fukers!

    Hello

    Welcome from Maryland.
  24. On another side note. DNP showed up later that evening. AND THEN.....MikeDaddy showed up at, and him and I stayed up all night (drinking of course) until the sun came up. PlanelFlyer showed up, and then we all drove into the desert and proceeded to have a fun time. By the time I crashed that evening, I was working on almost a good 48 hours of being vertical (while drinking of course). And the fall shoot events just keep getting better.
  25. Yeah, maybe. But they ain't like the ol Silverback hugs though. True story. Matt Cross and I drive across country to the fall shoot (me from Maryland, picking up Matt in North Carolina). We call Tom once we're into AZ and meet him at his work around mid-day. First time meeting him face to face. All three of us do a cool meet and greet, followed by Tom throwing his house keys at us and saying that he'll meet us there later. FIRST time meeting face to face mind you. Matt and I say "Cool", and roll out to Tom's place. We proceed to spend the afternoon, in Tom's front yard mind you, with Matt drinking cokes and me drinking beer (normal pace.....what some might call heavy ) waiting for Tom to show up. He shows up a couple hours later, and proceeds to do a flying tackle/bearhug combination on both me and Matt....................................and it's never been the same ever since. And I wouldn't have it any other way. With him, or any other of the regulars. If you don't know...............................you'll find out eventually. As a side note. Now, ever since, the fall shoots ARE my vacation time that I plan around for the year.
