  1. History repeats itself... Well it's 'Tommy this and Tommy that'...
  2. Switched over to loading 45acp for now. I'm loading the Xtreme 200 grain plated hollow points. I've loaded lots of 200 grain LRN and LSWC, but not hollow points, and I'm experimenting on the length. A lot of my rounds have been 1.250" LOA. Anyone used these Xtreme 200 grain plated hollow point? What LOA did you use?
  3. Didn't version 1.0 of Robocop "accidentally" kill a board member in a botched demonstration of its capabilities? Good idea to get it de-bugged there. Then again, maybe it should be field tested in Michiganistan.
  4. 1.5 years ago Manchester had a moose limb population of 0%. Today it is 17%. Think this isn't planned and deliberate?
  5. Very good. It will eventually all pan out and you'll be loading and shooting like a pro.
  6. If you need a BCG, check this out. https://www.aimsurplus.com/product.aspx?item=XAIMBCG308N3BDG&utm_source=AIM+Surplus+Main+List&utm_campaign=ba12dc7b2c-05182017&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_6870497a6a-ba12dc7b2c-19505937
  7. Don't kid yourselves. It's call a quarantine.
  8. And that's a good thing! I'm glad it worked out for you. But I'd be wary of anything out of their Shooters' Pro Shop. I don't think they are intentionally trying to deceive anyone. But after many thousands of .308 and 5.56 projectiles loaded and sent downrange, my conclusions are irrefutable for my rifles. They are good for plinking, sometimes a little bit more, but not consistent enough for precision work. I'll say this in regard to SPS bullets. They and everything else seemed to work well when using IMR4064. That powder is just amazing, but it loads like Lincoln Logs, and for that reason I won't use it. I can find a good combination with other powders.
  9. Not to rain on your's or anyone else's parade on these Noslers, but they have been a major disappointment to me. I have purchased and shot many 1000s of their overruns and "blems" and in general they are just plain inconsistent. Some batches are good, some are not. I don't know if it is their bullet shape, or QC but across the board, the Noslers just don't have the accuracy of Sierras. It's going to take me years to go through all the overruns and blems I've purchased from Shooters Pro Shop, but I'm not buying any more. If you find they work for you, then great. But I'm sticking to Sierras for when it really counts.
  10. Maybe PSA built a water-cooled version? Sorry, couldn't resist. It's probably nothing.
  11. As someone who prefers iron sights to telescopic, these look very interesting. Too bad the rear isn't adjustable for both windage and elevation. They look very tall. CNC ninja parts?
  12. OP, have you actually fired this rifle yet? New to reloading and new rifle is not a good combination. Take it out to the range with some good commercial ammo and put some rounds downrange. These rifles take anywhere from 50-200 rounds to break in. And lube the BCG well before shooting.
  13. Welcome aboard. You've just joined the biggest group of enablers this side of the 'net.
  14. Excellent! I used to get my kiddos to help me load. They couldn't wait to help. It's a great time.

  16. Behind politicians.
  17. As if the nearest town to me is worth a damn. We have that many every weekend in NOLA.
  18. Nice town, eh? http://www.foxnews.com/us/2017/05/08/phoenix-serial-shootings-suspect-accused-killing-at-least-nine-identified.html
  19. We might, if the CCW holder is white and the slasher is black. Then the headlines will read: "White man shoots mentally impaired black."
  20. From Barfcom?
  21. How's this? This was in a low light environment. Real easy to pick up the front sight. What an improvement over the GI sights. I love 3-dots. Silhouette and AA#5 really are great powders in the 45ACP.

  23. No, I haven't carried it IWB yet. I have to lose a few lbs first to get it to fit inside my pants
  24. That's some quality equipment you're assembling for reloading. Quality equipment + good reloading technique = lots of fun.
  25. Ha! You'd better buy everything RIGHT NOW. You won't be able to afford it after you're married. For reloading 308AR, you've got plenty of choices. I've had great luck with the Lee standard dies, and the RCBS standard dies. Unless you have some special "match" chamber that is tighter than normal (I don't recommend that) then don't waste your money on small base dies. You don't need them. I also wouldn't recommend getting the RCBS "X" dies which supposedly eliminate the need to trim (these dies have nothing to do with MikeDaddy's pictures.) I cannot say this enough. If you are reloading rifle cases, GET A CASE GAUGE!!! And use it! Cheapest $20 insurance you'll ever buy.
