  1. Check these out at Primary Arms. The prices are unbelievable. Matched Matrix 308AR upper and lower, $159, Bear Creek 16" 308AR barrel, $69!
  2. Welcome from LA. Your climate is a little better than ours.
  3. That's pretty typical of folks everywhere. When I was overseas, I worked with a man from Cairo, Egypt. I asked if he visited the Pyramids. He said "No, I can see them from my backyard. Why should I go?"
  4. Ordered a Toolcraft black nitride .308 BCG from Joebob Outfitters for $169. Slowly acquiring all the parts for the next build. Gotta replace all the firearms that fell into the lake in that last boating accident.
  5. I think it was A&E Biographies. Yeah, great from that episode. I think it's Andre, not Aundrey
  6. I've been using ACS 20-round metal mags in addition to the usual Pmags. The ACS have been great, no problems.
  7. I've seen that documentary. Wonderful! Best part is Aundrey talking about a bar incident. Four guys at a bar in NY accosted him, then thought the better of it. They left and got into their car. Aundrey got pissed, followed them, and overturned their car with them in it! He said he wasn't worried about the guys calling the police, because no one would believe a story about a giant rushing out of a bar and turning over their car! He was right!
  8. Ultimate tough fat guy
  9. I have found the 1x-fired mil brass to be very good. It's inexpensive, usually mostly of the same lot. It just takes a little elbow grease to get ready for loading.
  10. F'ing brilliant!
  11. I have been taking my children to the range with me for years. They are taught safety, patience and above all, responsibility, and have asked to go back. This is outrageous. If this had been my child, the school officials would be in the hospital now.
  12. Walmartians?
  13. Just got some new items in the mail. Another TNArms poly 308AR lower. Then over the weekend, AeroprecisionUSA had their M5E1 blem uppers on sale, so I bought one, and a charging handle to go with it. Now, I know, a deal's a deal, but the day after I bought the blem upper, Aero put their non-blem M5E1 uppers on sale for $10 less. That pisses me off! They put the upper in a crunched-up regular M5 upper box (they don't have enough M5E1 boxes?) and the charging handle won't fit the upper without forcing it in all the way. What's going on over at Aero? Rant off.
  14. Ali Muhummad Sahib Skyhook (or something close to it.)
  15. Ya think??? It's about time these imbeciles did something like this.
  16. very nice!
  17. Something is going on here. I ordered a barrel from BA, and it has spent the last 8 days in the USPS system bouncing around "In transit to next facility". This isn't that difficult! WTF.
  18. I'm considering joining in the fun this year. What are the logistics of getting a couple rifles and enough rifle ammo there? I don't want to drive from LA with everything I need, and buying ammo locally in AZ might be prohibitively expensive.
  19. Hey, Blambert. I'm guessing, but is that a play on your name Brian and "Lamberts", home of the throwed rolls? Man, their food is down home! I'm hungry now.
  20. Welcome from LA. I spend a lot of time in Gulf Shores. You nearby?
  21. The ALG trigger components are really good. Not the best, but frankly, at ~$40 are the best bang for the buck when improving the stock triggers (the feel of which are something akin to dragging two bricks across each other.)
  22. Oh well. I remember her on "TJ Hooker". Talk about hot! Chelsea was the hottest on "Two And A Half Men", but then we're talking about subtle differences in ranking between 9.5 and 10.
  23. Same experience here. Some of the SPS blems were very good, but most gave less than desired results. Same with the "blems" from Midway (I think those were Hornadys). I've since stopped buying anyone's blems, and only get Sierra projectiles, or Hornady 75 BTHP for the 5.56. The blems are good for hitting steel, and short range stuff. Only problem, I stocked up on the SPS blems during the Obuttf*&k years. Still got a lot to go thru.
  24. Welcome to the club. When I first began looking for a loading press many moons ago, all the "experienced" sellers and dealers said don't waste your time on a progressive, get a single stage. Best advice I ever ignored. I bought an RCBS 4x4 and never looked back. Progressive presses are great.
  25. Welcome from Louisiana.
