  1. 1000 Sierra 69 grain BTHP uncoated 5.56 projectiles. On sale for $94 at Midway.
  2. "What is the dirtiest part of your body? Some say it's the toes, some say it's the nose, but I say... it's your mind." Frank Zappa
  3. Anyone reloading should get and use a case gauge. Period. Cheapest insurance you'll ever buy. BTW, I've been reloading semi autos in 5.56, 7.62x51 and 30-06 for 30+ years and have never used a small-based die. I find I don't need them. YMMV.
  4. You got that right! Thank God he won, thank God he won, thank God he won!
  5. Bourdain is a POS. He's just another elitist commie bastard. Some of the things he's said threatening Pres. Trump should have landed him in jail.
  6. To all you jarheads out there--- Happy Birthday USMC!
  7. Welcome aboard. That's worrisome. Don't let him hold a hammer but someone should let him near their eyes with a sharp, pointy instrument? I dunno...
  8. Yep. I wonder if being that close to Disney had anything to do with it? Nah. She wouldn't do that to me. Proud of all my kiddos. They've exceeded what we taught them.
  9. Had a couple of good things happen this weekend. My daughter's volleyball team was in the state finals. She's been a four year starter, and they were state champs last year. Didn't repeat as champs, came in 3rd. But for the 2nd time, she was voted 1st team All-state, and the coach was voted Coach of the Year. Both deserved it. Then yesterday my daughter was accepted to her first-choice college, UCF. Not a bad choice being a Golden Knight. Just a lot of $$$$.
  10. Prayers for the families and victims. But of course we need more gun laws, which didn't work in the first place. Insanity all around.
  11. No issues with either. I built with a lot of AR Stoner parts purchased from Midway, they are all GTG.
  12. Megas are really nice. Some of the finest machining and coating you'll ever see.
  13. Welcome from the swamps of LA. I thought Kiwis weren't allowed to have fun things like black rifles.
  14. Welcome aboard. The Syrac Gen 2 gasblock is a very good design. I have several, and they adjust easily and handle the .308 round easily.
  15. Just to clarify, I am referring to the article as BS, typical politico-journalism. Let the investigation take its course, and let justice be done.
  16. Tragic. Not that the NYP is a paragon of reporting virtue, but that article was weird in and of itself. The last three paragraphs are completely irrelevant. Either it's filler, or the NYP is trying to plant seeds of, what, conspiracy? Total BS.
  17. We all make mistakes. No big deal. I have found Varget to load far more easily than IMR4064.
  18. I've not heard of H4064. It's not listed in their reloading charts. New stuff?
  19. Ramshot TAC AA2520 IMR4064* *If you can stand the agony of using Lincoln Logs. I can't.
  20. Yep. A lot of folks poo-poo Lambert's (there one other one in Foley, AL) but their food is very good, and there's lots of it. And better have your hands ready to catch their rolls. The rolls can hit you in the head, or land in your plate of food if you're not ready. Lots of fun!
  21. Welcome from the swamps of LA.
  22. Oh. My daughter and her team were in the volleyball nationals. finished up at 3pm, showered up then hit the Bass Pro about 5pm. Still a really great place to waste an hour or two. Hit Lambert's after that with her whole team. What a great time!
  23. OMG! Were you there Saturday? I was in that Bass Pro in Springfield, MO. from 5:30-7PM Saturday evening! Cool place.
  24. These are idiots. Having sheltered thru some of the worse storms of the last 20 years, anyone outside in these storms without actually having to be outside is simply tempting fate.
  25. My first in-depth cross country trip was our geology field camp. Drove from Pennsylvania, thru the upper Midwest, to SD, WY, ID, Montana mapping stuff all the way. We drank our way across the country and got introduced to all kinds of new and exotic (to me) beers. Hamm's, Olympia, Coors, Grain Belt. This was a long time ago, before Coors was available east of the Mississippi. Loved the first three, hated the Grain Belt. Miss those evenings around the campfire drinking beer and telling lies. Oh, 13PTBUCK, just get a Criterion barrel. You can't go wrong.
