Number 1 , I was 14 i think and was going duck hunting before school I had a beretta goldenlark semi auto 12 gauge had to go thru a fence laid the gun under and went thru picked it up and started to walk boooom! the load of number 4's went into the ground about 2 or 3 inches from my right toes I do not know what i did to set it off but i do know what i did not do i did not unload when going thru the fence i now unload put the gun thru then go thru reload and check all safeties... Number 2 was 23 or 24 shooting a colt combat commander with a friend i shot 3 or 4 rounds took my finger off the trigger and placed it on the front of the trigger gaurd turned the gun downrange and held out my hand for him to take it as i turned my finger slipped off the trigger gaurd and hit the trigger firing a round down range, i then gripped the gun with both hands and dropped the mag and un loaded it we were both shook up My mistake was not CLEARING the gun and making sure it was empty before handing it off never again. My wife and I do clearing drills each and every time we practice as part of shooting practice we drill it into our brains as much as possible and we show each other a cleared weapon before setting it down or taking it back in the house... and no one shoots my weapons unless they are familiar with it and show me after I show them a clear weapon...

Yep it happens to us all I was 15 and going thru a barbed wire fence picked up the gun on the other side pointed it at the ground and boom, it was a Beretta golden lark semi auto shotgun and the round of number 4's missed my toes by less than 3 inches i will never forget that and still do not know what i did to get it to discharge but after that and till my dying day i unload and put it thru a fence today and then reload and check safety.... scares the poop out of ya...

That last video was awesome i am amazed at how the gun stayed pointed at the target recoil was absorbed pretty impressive for a 308...

Music for me the last 45 years has been as close to sex as possible I was fortunate to play in a band in the 60's and we opened 3 shows for The Who got to meet them all and spend Keith Moons 21st Bday with man the stories i could tell you him he was one crazy Mofo...... enjoy the concert the same band also opened for the Yardbirds two years in a row and i got to meet both Jimmy page and Jeff Beck and took Keith Relf rabbit hunting... those were the days ....

Great choice of a snow blower now ..... get extra shear pins, and learn where anything is that can go inside it like lawn rocks ,kids toys,garden hose, etc etc it will amaze you to see how many things are under a sudden snow storm, make sure your glasses if you wear them are not in a pocket or anywhere that when you bend over to do something while running the blower they may slip out, you will never see them again been there done that found them next spring 30 feet away they do not look good after going through the snow blower do not wear any loose clothing these things are serious munchers..... congrats on the twins.. :)

I got my first gun when i was ten that was 1960 to this day as far as I can remember i have never had a dream with a gun in it.... wow i never even thought about having a gun related dream...

To bad more deer were not around, we had a long dry summer here in central Idaho and the deer changed their habits and it took me awhile to get on them but we are having bumper crops of deer right now and we get to tags (one is a drawing) but the wolves have driven the elk and deer closer to civilization and it is really getting critical for the elk deer season is almost over time to go wolf hunting... I agree about quadrails and stuff that is not needed is it is a good hunting gun it will be a good battle rifle i carried my Dpms all elk season and killed a elk with it I am in the process of trimming weight i hope to cut it to right at 8 lbs.... unloaded

Salmon ahhh the fish of life we get a run of kings here every year and i fill my quota of 20 fish each year the fish average 15lbs but my largest last year was 29lb 8 0z.... blackened is awesome, baked with butter and lemon is allso great we love to take a big fillet and cover it with about 1/4 inch of real mayo then chop up two or three bell peppers red, green and yellow ans cover the entire fillet do this on tin foil then seal and bake it is awesome. also we like to cover in tai chille marinade and then bake in tin foil Salmon you really can not screw it up unless you over cook it... bone appy

LOL I have more deer crap in my yard than grass they have trails all over my property aqnd the wife can not grow a flower to save her life.... we will start paint ballin the worst offenders and all our neighbors know a deer with orange paint on it gets it first... :)
