well i am next door in Idaho and the HPBT168 sounds like a winner i have used the same bullet in other calibers and have loved the barnes HPBT and it should fly in a 7.62 very well.. we will see what this season brings.. thanks

had a 30 and a 21 just did not shoot anywhere near as well as my 1911 so i am back to one handgun and it is a 1911 the 30 for my hand size and mine are not small just did not fit i hope it works for you they are very very reliable..

I have carried concealed for over 30 years Idaho is a wonderful state , I have just about worn off all the bluing off a custom 1911 from holster wear, but i am not a fan of open carry as it just seems to alarm the very people we may need to protect who won't protect themselves.... I also do not want to be far from a long gun.

yep it is just a standard trigger set but irt is Coated and according to spikes does not have the 4 day creep like my dpms issue trigger and that is all i wanted was a crisp break no creep or small amount standard trigger..

wrote them a letter and got a instant reply and 1.95 cent shipping hats off to spikes for being stand up about it... and i suggested they put that info on their website.....

No damage to brass just a scratch on the rim where it was grabbed by the ejector and that is a small scratch soooooooooooo i think my best bet is to leave it all alone I have no FTF or FTE and it is accurate so i am good till something says different I thank you all for the education on this subject.. :)

Ok my DPMS carbine buffer is 2and 1/2 inches long and weighs 3.80 OZ i looked at the armalite and it is 3 and 1/2 inches long and weighs 5and 1/4 oz so would i be better off with the armaliteas it is a bit heavier?? thanks as always

No i had not seen that graph mine is ejecting at about 2.30 to 3.00 so it is close.so a heavier buffer I will weigh mine.. thanks very cool stuff love the left handed version lol

Nope a good scope and that is it well hold on I will put a spikes battle trigger in it that is the only con so far the trigger is atrocious for creep the break is good but horrible creep other than that it will stay a short sweet plain Jane carbine...

LR 308 16 inch carbine.

Just got a DPMS and after stripping it and then shooting it i am more than pleased with accuracy under 1 inch group at 100 yards with surplus ammo and as of now i have never had a FTF or FTE so what is not to be happy about.. I like it .

Well I am not sure myself I have a A2 20 inch barrel flat top 5,56 rifle lenght gas and it has the standard front a2 sight so i am not sure if the elevation marks would work with the carbine model maybe someone else could chime in who has more smarts on this matter than me and i will also ask around and get back to you thanks... the front sight I am looking for is a flip up that attaches to a railed gas block on my Dpms lr308 I have a flip up rear sight for it..

same way I do it i have a tiny hammer ball peen and it does 70% then finish with punch ...
