  1. 4 pound 22 inch long by 2 inch thic k round steak on the Akorn.
  2. Those “Smoking Stones” work!👍🏻
  3. Only 38 special I have is maybe 15 rounds I got when my Dad passed away. It has to be 50 years old, minimum!
  4. It is bigger then Cali. Will probably mean a rewrite of any legislation attempted on a national level. HR 7517 is in committee of the House of Representatives, with no chance of passing the Senate, but will be brought back again next year I am sure and who knows. And I believe it try's to outlaw manufacture of extended capacity magazines along with a host of other stuff. Having this on record could blunt that.
  5. Welcome from Wisconsin good luck with the build.
  6. Good luck, it indeed looks interesting. I wish you well with your endeavor.
  7. Roam, quite simply, if you want to have street credibility with the people knowledgeable about large caliber AR’s, Remove “AR 10” from your vocabulary. That is an Armalite Corporation Trademark, and banding it around for firearms that CANNOT interchange parts with an Armalite AR 10 is going to lead to confusion and upset customers. I looked at your web site, and you need to REMOVE all mentions of AR 10’s and replace them. You could replace them with “MAR 10’s “ or just about any nomenclature, just NOT AR-10. Trust me this will save your company monumental headaches, not to mention avoiding Trademark infringement law suits.
  8. Looks very interesting.
  9. Are they true"AR10"'s? Based on the Armalite proprietary design, or 308AR's based generally on the DPMS design? Or something else?

Thanks Ron. It shoots so well I can’t justify changing anything. I almost went with a free float hand guard, but I doubt that would make me shoot it better. Just glad I built up my inventory of B model Gen II magazines. I do like the old style leather sling. I have them on all my 20 in barrel ARs and my M1A now.
  14. Only you guys can make a post about a missing barrel nut entertaining..

  19. Dion want to send me the 99 44 Mag? PM me when you go the Amount figured out with mailing etc. and I will pay Pal you like usual.
  20. The gas grill I have had the best luck with is the Char Griller Tru Infrared. Have their commercial model in Florida and it gets hotter then any other gas one I have had, maybe 450-500F. Nowhere near my Akorn with a full head of steam and both vents open. How is Kansas treating you Friend?
  21. Sound advice

Thanks guys that is nice of you to say. I love that rifle.
  23. Always found most gas grills didn't get hot enough to properly sear. I like 600F, even 700F to get a real sear. The new infrared ones get close though.
  24. Can’t say. Propane is convenient when you don’t want to mess with lump charcoal Alsothe smoking stone ceramic plate is $45 extra for the AKorn. And you need that for smoking.
