When it is published in the Scientist, for other scientists to read, it is a big thing. 1. Beyond a shadow of a doubt it happened, being referenced in multiple publications. 2. Not every thing can be verified like that in this day. I am a sceptic unless there are multiple verifications of something from multiple sources. Groups and people from all sides try to influence us now by publishing false, partially true, or unverified speculative accounts, on both the left and on the right. I refuse to buy into that unless I can ascertain the information is indeed true. I will not take a stance on something unless it’s accuracy can be verified. I can’t afford to believe lies, no matter how much I may want to.
