  1. So given the choice between the MBUS set, or a troy di-optic folder in the rear and whatever on the front, what do you think? Its an extra $50 or so for the troy but well screw it, I have the money at the moment
  2. http://thegist.com/news/389/pentagon-cancels-medal-for-moving-a-joystick-in-an-air-conditioned-trailer-in-nevada
  3. anyone want a 20" Rainier Select barrel ? :D
  4. Bacon time!
  5. Hmm looks like around 80-85 for a set in fde, not too bad
  6. have those worked out well for you? I actually posted about them a while back here asking if anyone used them as it seemed to make sense for my planned use. that way I can mount my scope with QD rings, still have the iron sights on in case, and just pop off the scope if i'm using the rifle to compete in something that requires iron sights only.
  7. I've finally been figuring out what I need for going into 3 gun competitions, and at least in some of the particular groups, I need to use iron sights only. Which blows, as I have a scope, a red dot, and a reflex sight. Some will allow those, but not all. So whatcha got?
  8. 3000 large pistol primers
  9. I bought a few boxes of that 2nd one. they are meant for 30-30s but whatever. the only reason they are 30-30s is the polymer tip, so tubular magazines won't cause one bullet tip to potentially set off the primer on the next one in the tube.
  10. Well, pretty much charging handles are either armalite or dpms based. I'm not sure what the bcm gunfighter normally comes for though.
  11. a friend in Colorado just got his LR20s this past week, from an order that went in the week it started.
  12. the rainier raptor is awesome. I have a plain one if you want something cheap
  13. first let me get my lower so I can shoot with this one, then complain about how bad it sucks having to take off the handguard to adjust it. Then bitch that I don't want to take a grinder to the pretty troy FDE handguard to make the vent holes bigger, so I HAVE to buy the syrac :D
  14. you guys have me this close to dumping my adjustable block for a syrac :)
  15. buffer A sounds like a normal rifle buffer, buffer B could be a carbine buffer or rifle, hard to say. weights might tell a story too. 12" sounds short for a rifle spring, but 17" sounds a bit long to me. I've only got carbine lengths here to measure. But i'm just going off memory
  16. well, unbelievable that the guy didn't get is butt whipped.
  17. It was still weird pricewise on some things. reloading powder was pretty normal prices ($28/lb) but primers were close to 4x retail - $100 per 1000. Other stuff varied in terms of how bad the pricing was, but it was better than past ones.
  18. How cheap is cheap? Its still probably outside my price range. I wouldn't need the armalite specific mount either (didn't realize they had a different mount) as it would go on a custom LR308
  19. why not? they can't sell their most of their products any longer in the state they are located in. Why not move to a state where you can have local support and purchases? companies move all the time for dumber reasons. Its not "cutting and running" its reducing your transportation and distribution costs, and not continuing to allow part of your income go to a government system that thinks your product is murderous.
  20. thats half of why I started building the 308 :D florida is overrun with wild hogs.
  21. are you holding it loosely when you start firing? or are you pushing it back hard into your shoulder to begin with?
  22. the bolt isn't supposed to close on a field gauge.

    PTR 91

definitely worth looking into as that stuff is under $200 for 1000 rounds :)
