  2. I think they go for about $300 or a little more for a completed Spikes lower with the LPK installed at Spikes. They make solid stuff I 've had mine for about 5 years and about 2,000 rnds though it without a hick-up.
  3. The reason the Remy's were getting bad press was due to tinkering with trigger pull weight and overtravel settings on the triggers by people who thought they knew what they were doing. I will reccomend either a Savage or a Remington. The reason you dont see as many aftermarket parts such as stocks for Savage is because they keep changing the specs on the receiver where the screws secure it to the stock. A company called Stocky Stocks has some for them and I believe Manners may. The Savage is accurate and reliable, I have a 14 1/2 LOP so I needed the ability to have an adjustible length of pull. So I went Remington on both of my builds, one in a McMiilian and the other in a AICS with a trigger job by a trusted and certifed gun smith. As far as cheap and tactical, thats like saying cheap and accurate or cheal and relaibe, you can only really have one choice.
  4. Wow you cant have that in Cali. I'll buy it from ya lol. It looks nice I've been thinking of building a Pistol version with the new Sig forearm strap,
  5. I take anything posted on BARF com with a grain of salt brother.
  6. I have allways used the CLP for stainless and automatic fire arms and never had a issue.
  7. I am really intrested in your .02 on this thing once you get it.
  8. Are you aware they make CA compliant models for you poor unfortunate souls.
  9. She said what, Im sorry I was too busy staring lol
  10. Your gonna have one hell of a time loading that bi-pod when it folds back towards the shoote, but the stock look nice.
  11. I don't know if your aware but the post office does have thier own L.E.O's they are called Postal Inspectors, but i'm not aware that they needed those many rounds for quals / requals. I do agree by the way, for a goverment for the people by the people it appears they have stopped listening. I am sure our founding fathers have done flips and rolls in thier graves.
  12. Gives a whole new meaning to going Postal I guess.
  13. Look at the Command Arms /EMA RONI they have the NFA version and a 16 inch Carbine version as well. They have them for about every popular LEO / Military handgun. I want one Midway USA has them or you can go direct from Command Arms. There are no tools needed to put this thing into action its pretty slick. EDIT: It appears they are no longer making the 16 inch version however there is an aftermarket barrel that cen be purchased for the Glock platform that is a 16 in barrel with ot w/o a shroud.
  14. I think both are good, but your paying a little bit more for Larue because it's Larue. Are you going with a QD mount or permanent. If your going the QD mount and are wanting a return to zero I would google which one did better and buy that one. Go to you tube and check out 8541 Tactical. he is a fellow member of another forum and a fellow LEO. He did a test comparison with actual range time on the ADM vs Borbro mounts I believe on return to zero. Shibi I want that atlas bipod lol
  15. Well give me shout when you get up this away
  16. I use this trigger on one of my builds that I stole from my SASS, its a very nice trigger.
  17. Ok guess I'll have to post a newer and bigger pic of my Harley.
  18. Mine runs like a top without changing anything
  19. If this is what you want to do in your heart of hearts hay go for it and make us proud. I am in Ohio so I cant help too much expect for answering some questions and trust me East coast policing and being in the 12 District of the Supreme Court is ALOT different than you California guys. ROBOCOP is a hell of a guy and would be able to answer more questions about where you are. Whatever you decide good luck and let us know. Godspeed
  20. Tom hit the nail on the head, as always lol your pretty much on it to A man can make a difference to those who want and need the positive role model one person at a time. You cant save them all but it matters to the ones you do. As a policeman thats what we should be, positive role modles. People rely and trust us with thier safety and thier families safety. Again I am not trying to be an a$$ just give you food for thought and make you do some hard thinking. You are talking about a job that can get your hurt, killed and / or sued. I was already a cop when I met my wife so she was warned that she was marrying a job as well. Is your wife and child ready for you to work the holidays and OT and court ect. and not be able be homme on time all the time?
  21. I have been a LEO for 9 years, and have been a SWAT guy for 5 years. I am currently recovering from my second othopedic surgery becasue of SWAT one shoulder and now my knee. I am also a Field Training Officer ( FTO ) meaning when you graduate the academy and come to the PD, your a$$ is mine. Its my responsibiity to make sure you can do that job. Tha means knowing the law, making sure you wont freeze up in a fight that your not unsafe, you wont get sued, killed or hurt or do something stupid. These are just a few of the things and Isay it this way not to be a dick but for you to see its serious. Police, Fire, Nurses, Doctors, Preachers and Military have high alcohol abuse and divorce rates, not everyone is that way, but only you know yourself and your levle of coping mechanisims as well as physological stability. Roobcop said alot and I will say this. A story I tell new rookies or people that ride along and are placed with me, One day the President of a Rail Road Company was giving a speech. When he finished the speech he saw a worker he knew and took the man to lunch. When lunch was over the president dropped the man off at the yard and waived good bye. The mans co-workers saw this and asked how he knew the president. The man repiled 20 years ago we stood in line together to get a job here, I came here for the money, he came here for the job. There are days I am glad I have the memories I do and others that images, smells and situations will follow me to my grave. This job is not for the faint of heart and no gaurentee that when you leave after kissing your wife that you will come home. I have an answer to the question I am asking but what difference can one man make?
  22. That should be a part of the background check process. Are you are registered or do you vote democrat? Do you believe its everyone elses responsibility to pay for health care and benefits for those to lazy to work and whose most confusing day of they year is Father's day? Any one of those should be an instant no.
