  1. This will get you very close. I use this on my 18" and it's almost spot on. Note: drop figures are in Mils (what I'm used to) and BC numbers are G7 models, not the conventional G1 model. FGMM168SMK.pdf FGMM175SMK.pdf
  2. What is it with you "Armalite people" rubbing that A-word in whenever the opportunity arises? Buddy of mine who has a 10T does the same thing too. <lmao>
  3. SGC.... Too far... me lazy, especially when I'm driving up from QC. I'm happy with the 6 mags I got for now. :D Besides, I gotta save up for a nice handgun (or bolt action?) next
  4. Still haven't been able to find the 20LR mags anywhere. I got the notification from MIdway and looks like you guys beat me to it. I did pick up a few used ones though. Was at Sportsman's (Mesa, AZ) yesterday. Sportsman's usually has FGMM 168gr and 175gr in stock but this time they were out of them. There was tons of XM80C in stock, some Winchester 7.62x51 white box and a good amount American Eagle .308 Gotta go back to Dicks and check... last time I was there they were out of all .308.
  5. Been looking at it with the spottig scope...epic. Also just after sunset, look in the southwest and you'll be able to see Venus and Jupiter. While looking at a moon, if you have a nice telescope, you should be able to make out Neptune as a blue dot about 8 o'clock from the moon just at it rises on the east.
  6. Dang... the 338LM would be $$$$$ to shoot. I was looking at a 300WM bolt action to add to the collection.
  7. I think they said "please" LOL.
  8. Defiitely no grease on the BCG. Mucks it all up in dusty conditions.
  9. My CMMG MK3 (bought as a complete rifle) is marked .308 on the barrel and shoots 7.62x51 just fine, including the Federal (LC) XM80C NATO. CMMG does advertise that it is fine to use 7.62x51 and it is marked 7.62 on my receiver too. I DID have one problem with RELOADED Lake City NATO brass. Seems that about 50% of one batch with LC 08 headstamps didn't quite fit in the chamber right and the bolt could not go fully forward to fire. They basically jammed in the chamber and I had to pry back the BCG with a screwdriver to get it to even eject. My assumption was the reloaded cases were not quite correct. Everything else seems to work fine.
  10. Geissele SSA-E 2-stage trigger.
  11. What's your gun build like?
  12. My guess is the same place Batman gets his.
  13. I trade my spent brass to a buddy who does reloading in exchange for MOAR AMMO! The last time I think I traded 200+ shell cases for 135 round of reloaded .308 (175gr BTHP). Math doesn't add up but I'm not complaining!
  14. I feel the same way with people who have their cars stickered up with cartoon/stick figures of their family. If I were casing the joint, I would know how many there were in their home.... ...but I do have one sticker on my truck window (Magpul).
  15. We're seeing the lasting impact of the recent Colorado recall/voting!
  16. Actually, the main reason is that the action on the 308 requires extra travel so it can load in the longer .308 round (longer compared to the 5.56). To keep everythig else the same for a longer travel, the buffer has to be shorter. The heavier spring is there to make up for the larger reciprocating mass of the BCG and the additional gas return due to the .308 round. Good choice on the PRS (make sure you get the .308 version), The PRS reduced a good bit of recoil due to the longer buffer tube reuirement compared to the carbine length tube on my .308.
  17. I took a break from mountain biking over summer. Too hot here. It's about time for me to start again.
  18. ^^ listen to the man. The 308 requires a buffer that is around 3/4" shorter than their 5.56 counterparts. Welcome from neighboring AZ. Federal FGMM 168gr/172gr BTHP can be found for $26-$28 and can't be beat for the value for match grade ammo. Even for general plinking, Federal(lake city) 7.62x51 XM80C (under $20) or Federal American Eagle (around $20-$22) works well for me and they are super consistent.
  19. Um.... fleshlight??? Man....you're hardcore on being prepped for any tactical situation!! -S
  20. haha... owning/running a precision engineering/prototyping shop I can understand where you're coming from. :) I've had good days and bad too... like in July when one of my machines went kaput and I had to fix it (took a week) and once that one was fixed, the other mill decided to quit. -S
  21. Could be a linear guide buckling or worn to a concave arc? Depending on what they're doing .08 may be tiny or huge....it's all relative. :)
  22. More greetings from AZ!
  23. AZ Gun Exchange on Southern close to the Superstition Springs Mall is a good place too. The folks there are friendly and willing to work a deal. Limited choice though, but they do get some nice items from QD.
  24. I don't know about AJI... kinda overpriced (over MSRP) on most of their price tags. I oughtta check out AZEX Arms since I live close by....
  25. How many here are in the east valley? I may be out there at the Usery range this weekend testing some brand new parts off the prototyping floor....I guess that's depending on what the wife and kid want me to do this weekend.... :D
