  1. This was hilarious... now I gotta go scar my kids (esp the two disney-loving 6yo's) for the rest of their lives...
  2. WOOT!!
  3. OK figured out the scope. It's from IJK Optics based in Glendale, AZ (an importer?) More pics:
  4. I guess it's a good thing I dont know who he is.... :D
  5. Excellent. You have them well trained.
  6. This was supposed to be the 50 that was coming to the range with us last week but my buddy was out of town for some family issues. [sale pending] Valley Ordnance Works XF50 Single shot bolt action 32" long range barrel Magpul PRS buttstock IJK Optics 10-40x50 scope, R14 ranging reticle (SFP) Bipod (don't know who made this one) Custom skull paint job "Storm Case" carrying case Here's a photo I quickly took in my office. Hope to get better pics later tonight. R14 Reticle Thoughts? Feedback? Interested? PM me. I have no vested interest in this deal, just doing a good friend a favor when he's in need. Edit Notes: Edit - 1/22/2014- 20:36 Just texted him and got him to lower it by $1k (i.e. $6k) and I think he will take a lower price if need be. He needs to get rid of this in a pinch (family) and I don't want to see this nice rifle go to some random person. Edit - 1/24/2014- 21:18 Price lowered after reality check #2 by yours truly.
  7. This Sunday?
  8. Um the technology's been around to 3D print metal parts. The army's been using Optomec 3D laser metal sintering machines to make fully functional engineered replacement parts out of steel, titanium, inconel etc for the M1 Abrams for a while already (yes, I was given a demo of the machine 3-4 years back). Matter of time before the technology becomes cheap enough for small shops to buy/use and literally "print" metal parts. http://www.optomec.com/Additive-Manufacturing-Technology/Laser-Additive-Manufacturing
  9. Bah....the douche flaked out..... so much for the trade. I guess the beater becomes the "other truck gun" then.
  10. Dammit... all this talk is making me itch to go 300 BLK....
  11. Glad I moved back from CA to AZ.
  12. WTF is a "ghost gun" ? I'm hearing the term being bandied around by our politicians and still can't figure out what it is.
  13. Finished reloading all the 308. 224 rounds total. 100 rounds Barnes Match Burners 175gr HPBT 50 rounds SMK 175gr HPBT 74 rounds SMK 180gr HPBT Testing out IMR-4064 loads; trying to replicate FGMM 175's with 42.5gr of IMR-4064. Lets see how this does at the range.
  14. I'm pretty happy with CFE-223 for the rifles... I gotta go get a hold of this new stuff to see how it does on the 9mm.
  15. Nice. ...now the guitar pics pls. :D
  16. I stick to the 26.... because I'm a short fatass. The SRAM's shift better than the Shimano. I went from a 3x10 to a wide range 2x10 on my bike. Haven't drunk the XX1 Kool-Aid yet. BTW, check out http://huckingkitty.com/forums :D
  17. mmmm A Savage 110 BA in 338 Lapua would be sexy...... expensive, but sexy.
  18. Nice bike. I have a mix of X0 and XX components on my S-Works stumpjumper... you wont be disappointed with it.
  19. Transferring money out of Paypal asap is our SOP. We actually have a special "Paypal-only" bank account that is linked to Paypal. When we transfer money out of Paypal (thousands at a time) it goes into that account and we immediately transfer that out to our business account and keep the transfer account almost zero. That way if we ever get f*cked by some Paypal crap, only the linked bank account is that "special" bank account that never has any balance so we limit the damage. Been using Paypal for years and keeping to our rules/procedures has kept the business safe from any Paypal shenanigans so far.
  20. If you have a low/zero balance in Paypal and make a paypal payment or transfer to someone else, you get to select the source of the funds (if you have multiple cards or bank accounts linked to Paypal) and the funds are withdrawn from the account (or card) and sent to the recipient. Fees 1. In a standard Paypal "payment" the recipient pays the fees (about 3%) no matter where the funds came from. 2. If the funds are sent as a personal transfer/gift/etc, no fees are applied at all ONLY when you use a bank account to fund the transaction. 3. If the funds are sent as a personal transfer/gift/etc and funded by a credit card, the SENDER pays an extra fee (about 3%) My company does a ton of Paypal transactions every month and we only keep a minimal rolling balance of about $100-$200 in our Paypal account just to pay for our shipping (which is done through Paypal). We found it safer this way due to the amount of fraud (usually unauthorized charges to our Paypal debit card) floating around on Paypal. -S
  21. Still task avoiding...started reloading...then, buddy calls and tells me he wants to sell his .50 cal (I'm broke, he's broke... any takers? He wants me to help him sell it....) .........hmmmm distractions........ ...back to reloading.... trimmed, deburred, and reloaded 100 rounds of quasi-precision .308
  22. cooking the pizza in the ... er.. warming drawer (wife doesn't know that I've been doing this on a regular basis)
  23. Interesting... then again I didn't think the current bolt design is "broken" and needed fixing.. haha
  24. Yeah - here's the discussion about the GII....
