  1. +1 on this. I've shot so many rounds in the military and have never even seen anything that necessitates anything other than the factory pins.
  2. +1 on this... even for the full auto they are a waste. Shot so many rounds in the military and have never had anything remotely close to re
  3. I know what you mean. I was on a military dirt bike (Honda!!) for almost 3 years - part of my work as a recon in an armored unit during my service. Broken ribs, one reconstructed kneecap, etc.
  4. Can't go wrong with a Honda Civic. They're 95% US-made - almost every component used for the car is made here. The cars easily reach 250k miles without major issues, just regular service. My next door neighbor sells Nissans (he manages a dealership in town)... not sure if he can work a deal for an out-of-state purchase but he gave me a screaming deal on my Titan and has also helped several of my wife's friends get good deals. Just say no to Hyundai/Kia/Daewoo....
  5. More info here, trying to work with the guy who makes them. Slide fire is a gimmicky toy. Feh.
  6. Still waiting to hear back from the guy... I understnad that they are crazy busy since the launch since several big manufacturers are really interested in their trigger too.
  7. Welcome from AZ!
  8. Picked up a used AR15/M4 a couple weeks back for $600....found it on backpage.com. CMMG upper + anderson lower, 16" SS barrel, non float alumium quad rail, picatinny gas block....nothing special but compared to the 308 it's like a puny rifle and weighs next to nothing. ...I'm not completely sold on the carbon FRP uppers/lowers like the Bushmaster C-15 or the cheap Windhams quite yet - and I suppose it says a lot since I do a good amount of aerospace carbon fiber work.
  9. Which range? when/where... I may drop by if I got some time on Sunday. (that is if it's ok with you guys).
  10. Here you go: http://www.amazon.com/Bushnell-Illuminated-Reticle-Riflescope-Turrets/dp/B00AU6EIIY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1385144683&sr=8-1&keywords=bushnell+pcl Buy it not from Amazon, but choose the one from Optics Planet instead - no AZ sales tax that way. :) .....and if you have amazon prime, shipping is free. i.e. look for it in this list: http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B00AU6EIIY/ref=dp_olp_all_mbc?ie=UTF8&condition=all
  11. Just picked up this Bushnell 1-4 scope for the 5.56 beater AR15 ..... pretty happy with it for $250 (new). Illuminated first focal plane, and a quick throw lever for the zoom ring built in. 30mm tube, Build quality is excellent. Knobs are graduated in 1/10 mil (not MOA as shown in the pics) and have a very positive click feel. Scope is Made in Korea. http://www.bushnell.com/all-products/rifle-scopes/ar-optics/1-4x-24mm-throw-down-pcl# Anyway, thought you'd like to know since this is a pretty good deal for a CQB rifle.

  21. BAZINGA!! LOL.... I was waiting for that!
  22. I'm liking your FDE 5.56... makes me want to paint mine.
  23. I think you can get ones that mount on the flattop rail. I didn't think anyone bought handled 308-AR uppers these days... except the old school AR-10 purists....
  24. I stumble into Sportsman's Warehouse to pick up a cheap primer flipper and ended up walking out $225 poorer. Damm them they had a bunch of powers in stock and I HAD to grab some before they disappeared into the void again and while I was grabbing powders, I couldn't pass up other crap. They had 0 powders on Friday so I thought it was safe to go in..... Bah. -S
