I was told 10-12 months, ergo the excitement. Too bad I can't make the trip today.

Thought I'd tell my buds good news. Like the title says no Bull. I just received a call from my LGS. My paperwork has been sent back. Why? They say my picture looks too much like a female. WTF?? ha ha ha. No, come get your suppressor, it's approved. Boys I was ready to wait a year, it took less than three months. No bull, not kidding. I'll post pics later with proof of the short wait time. Dang, good news on a Monday.

Beautiful, wondered where you were. Thanks for the info. Probably being lazy but how do I find more info for purchase?

I know I may have dipped my toe in the pond. Hope there's no gators lurking. @Armed Eye Doc

I just left NJ four years ago and loved it after living in NYC. I shot the State Championships run by John Donald at CJRPC, visited Fort Dix range 14 and it was a lot of fun. 98V is a terrific person and valuable source of info, if a little rough on the edges at times. Welcome aboard and best of luck.

God Bless Cliff. We grow together with out little buds and it is wonderful. Knowing in advance we will outlive them is a foreknown fact. I have been through it a few times and swear off pairing up with another. But life sucks without a dog period. I lost the best dog I ever teamed up with last one out. This guy looked like a weight lifter although Jack Russell's are smaller, or smallish. Loved this guy like no tomorrow. Had to put him down and being "The Guy" in our home it was up to me, each and every time. Tough duty for sure. Anyway I send off to some rescue joint for an abandoned pup. He's in Pennsylvania and I gotta pick him up there from NJ. OK 75$ donation. Meet is set for Cabela's parking lot at midnight. I'm from Brooklyn NY and was a street guy for a while and I'm thinking a Pier 9 at midnight meeting. Who's getting whacked? So the truck arrives at 1:30 am and thankfully a few other folks are there so I feel assured nothing stupid is going to happen. I find out my pup is from Tennessee and has just spent 45 hours in a crate. I love this dog. So he's walking sideways looking to pee. Skinny, and with long legs for a Jack and I'm thinking he's f'ked up. Bent spine, shriveled body, and shell shocked. In the hotel he's barking at every noise outside the room, puke's up his food, and I'm thinking 'Vet bill's' up they ying yang. After a few days I find he's straightening out, he's not walking half sideways any longer. His demure attitude is gone, he's coming into his own. We all know this kind of dog. You cannot approach me, I'm his guy, period. He is not mine, I'm his. In the mornings he will take his walk and do his business, but in the afternoon he won't. Usually I need to walk him a 1/4 mile or so and he'll poop. In the afternoon he has created a ceremony. He walks around the Dodge, 392 loud machine, and sniffs the doors and will not go for a walk until I let him in the car start her up and drive around the block. He loves the sound of those 24 dragons that scream out of the ass end of that machine. As soon as we get out of the car he'll poop within 15 feet. Long story short he's the worst best dog I ever had. I know he was abused at one time and I did save him, he hit the puppy lottery for sure. But he fills a need for me as well. We're all lucky to know the relationship between us and our four legged friends. I know we all send our love and caring to you in this moment of grief. Please be comforted knowing we all share in your sorrow.

Good luck on this one. I'm waiting to see the answer. I think the line is made of green frog hair, but I am stumped on the rest.

Man, omg. That blew me away. I'm so sorry for you and her. I'd someone for that. In the meantime, once again sorry to hear about this tragedy. Prayers sent. Amen.

Yes, thanks. @dpete.

I'll take them. Let me know what to do now.

Received my order from dpete and am well satisfied. Thank you. Would (300 blk from processed 223) be cut down 223's? I don't want to guess the answer, although I might not ask this question in a classroom. Thanks again.

Colt stops selling long guns to retailers
RedRiverII replied to beachmaster's topic in Firearm Industry News and Gossip
Yes sir, that is true for now. Colt has never had an easy time of it. They do have a fascinating history as a company, and even before Colt was a company. I may dust off a corner of my book shelf and read up some more, but I recall, and I'm working on my first cup of Joe, reading several sections of books on Samuel Colt. From his whittling a wooden model of a cylinder while a youngster out at sea, to traveling the world pursuing his dream. COLT was not always that monolith we have come to assume it is or was. It was created by a bad boy who had a habit of getting in trouble. Sound like anyone you know? I wasn't a bad boy in school, well intentionally anyhow, they bored me to death. You can't tie down youthful energy, you can drug these kids but youth must prevail. Anyway Colt was built and guided by a highly energetic man. A creator. I don't see anything like him today at the helm. BTW, I think Colt bought the modern rifle design from Armalite in 1954--6 ? Not selling to civvies? They're not selling period. There are way too many manufacturers as is. Sorry OP, I didn't mean to go too far adrift. -

Pythons are arguably the best production revolver ever made. COLT has been feasted upon by generations of idiots and imbeciles. The innovators and imagination folks are long gone. Maybe it is time to lay down and perish. -
I was born 11 years after Pearl Harbor was attacked, I'll never forget that. 116 years after The Alamo and I won't forget that either. For my 4 day career as a NYC cab driver I witnessed the first bombing of the Trade Center. 9/11/01 I stood in a cloud of smoke 10 miles south of the Towers realizing it was from the buildings on fire. Can't and won't forget that. I was on the roof of the Towers twice in my life and thankfully not on the days of horror. Innocents were butchered that day and scarred across my mind is never to forgive an enemy, foreign or domestic. The kids today will answer our countries call when and if... always have always will. Let me just say this quick before I get lost in the emotions. I don't take a compliment well for whatever reason and I'm sure many of you don't as well. You folks are heroes, the regular stand up, go to work, never quit guys and gals that hang out here. Police and firefighters, car and football fans, hot dogs and beer people, fat pop corn and snack folks. Moms and Dads trying their best in a ferocious world that is for the most part protected from many worldly ailments by our military. The same military folks that do courageous and humanitarian missions that never make the news. Yes I can name names and deeds you never saw on TV. Those are just facts, think of some of the times you risked your own safety for strangers. Or took an oath to serve not knowing what the heck you were getting yourself into. If that isn't heroic I'll never know what is. The kids are watching and know from your actions what is really important and what isn't. The best kept secret in America is how awesome you folks really are. I guess we don't take compliments too well.

I really enjoyed # 1.

WTG Fort Pierce. After viewing Cunuck's photos I was moved and took some action. I was glad after a very short time researching to find massive action already begun by private citizens, as well as Government and big business.

There's a huge effort in my area collecting. Many folks are out and about organizing, I was sleeping and behind, good news folks it's coming.

Bleach, hydrogen peroxide, disinfectants, baby stuff, these are the things needed immediately, all things are needed but first things first. Spoke to a gentleman at one of the centers and volunteered for service, I'll load up with some bleach and hydrogen peroxide, let my wife handle the baby stuff. I'll know more tomorrow when I report in.

OK, they are accepting goods at several locations in Florida. I'll find out what they need and post it here if you want to get involved.

Bahamas.com/relief They are listing relief agencies and places to donate. They are asking for money right now, goods and services will come later because of no infrastructure now. God Bless the Bahamas. It could've happened here, only 90 miles away.
