  1. What can I say that hasn't been said, and said better......heartfelt sorrow from myself.
  2. KelTec has a place of honor in my mind for firearms design and manufacture. I have owned a Sub2K, and loved it! I had wanted a Ruger 9mm carbine, but one of these fell into my hands, was quite a bit cheaper, and IT NEVER QUIT on me. Dummy me, I sold it to a friend, and he won't sell it back.......thought I was gonna be smarter...I wasn't.
  3. Do not get one of these if you are going for lightweight, as they are made that much better than a standard charging handle. These are still my go to when a new rifle is built/aquired.
  4. And if you want to see your 1911 slide speed increase, try a bit of copper antiseize. Not really good for functionality. .....I tried that many, many years ago.
  5. Why not use grease on an AR? whenever I have used anything else.....CLP, Weaponshield, Lucas, ect.....they all have seemed do either dry up during storage or after only a few hundred (around 500 or so) rounds. With my switching to high temp brake grease, all this has went away. Asking a question, not challenging.
  6. I don't understand it, we put men on the moon with lessor tetechnology than our phones have now....but noone can seem to figure out how to do the pistol cartridge trimming setup in a press for speedy production; ala' Dillon' s rifle cartridge setup. I am missing the hangup with figuring this out.....
  7. What he said. I use the Lee crimping die also, for everything I load.
  8. ^^^^^This.
  9. I do the same, just roll my own instead.
  10. Meet Bella. Named after my cat, crazy bitch that only likes me, and I am the only one that likes her. The upper is an older Bushmaster, gifted as a Christmas present from a friend who I put a different upper on his carbine for him. Lower is some crap, sheet, and junk slapped together in a Spikes Tactical Viking stripped version I was going to build my 20" on.....oh well. Later this weekend I will see how things run.
  11. BWWHHAHHAAHAAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!!
  12. Cliff R, seems like we are much alike with our choices in 45/70 powders.....they are very similar.?
  13. And for 98's info, I use H4198 in my 45/70 loads. ?
  14. And believe it or not, primer changes can make a HUGE difference. Also, I am not a real fan of 3031, in either 308 or 45/70. It seemed to reach over pressure signs with me and give a sharper felt recoil impulse many years ago. Your results may be different, but not from tthe pics.... My 308 powder choice leans towards Varget, 4064 (very close cousins in the powder world), 748, or 760.....all depends on what I am trying to do. TAC may be another to try, but it likes my .223/5.56 cases more.
  15. Just put some dogshit in the box and place out on porch. Forget about it. Laugh when it dissappears, and the bastards have their present.?
  16. No Schitt, wwith sugar on top!
  17. ^^^^^This is what I wanted to hear! Thanks.
  18. Also, I want to make sure this upper will function on my FUR lower (if need arises ) that is a rifle style lower.
  19. I hate narcotics. I went back and reread what I had posted, and instead of an M4gery, it should be and A2 style carbine upper. I went down on the ice on Monday, ended up with rib contusions and a really good concussion.
  20. and for and for what it's worth, I am a fixed buttstock, rifle length A2 style of ape arms kinda guy. I can't stand the wobble from a collapsible stock.
  21. okay, let me make sure I have this correct. As long as I get the A2 rifle buttstock and rifle extension, a rifle buffer and spring system I get it will work with that carbine gas system, correct? this is I guess what I should have asked in the first place.
  22. Educate me on whether or not I can run an A2 buttstock on a M4 upper and how. And if not, how to afix a collapsible stock in a permanent position. Reason is I was gifted a Bushmaster M4gery upper for Christmas and want to build the lower for it.
  23. Yup. Negligent. I didn't "ACCIDENTLY" put a hole through the main floor, wall, and roof of my house by accident, nor bounce a lead slug around the living room of another older house I owned years ago. Those were all NEGLIGENCE on my part. Period. No question. No accident, just stupid.
