  1. Finished the FUR tonight, this morning.....now off to the range later today to see it work. First build, and I am hooked on how easy this is!!!
  2. That does look really sweet! Me likes the project!
  3. My FUR (Fukn' Ugly Rifle) is in process to be assembled! All the parts have been accumulated, with the upper on order from Midwayusa.com. Standard rifle lower, with a Dissipator upper. https://www.midwayusa.com/product/951250/del-ton-ar-15-dissipator-a3-upper-receiver-assembly-556x45mm-nato-16-barrel the upper^^^^^^^^^ The ugly part comes from having different colors and manufacturers of furniture along with a different upper and lower manufacturer, mutt internals....
  4. HAAHAHAAHAH!!!!!!!!! You guys are way too much!!!!
  5. http://www.foxnews.com/us/2016/10/03/feds-enlist-police-to-scan-gun-show-customers-license-plates-report-finds.html I had heard of differing types of surveillance over the years, but I don't ever remember hearing a national news outlets reporting on it.
  6. That'll learn 'em!
  7. That should almost be good to go out of the box, but I read your story. Now all you need is a couple hundred rounds to make sure it bangs every time you pull the bangswitch..... My B6P was excellent out of the box! 800 rounds downrange without a FTF that wasn't attributable to a specific load/boolit type I had problems with. Those loads are a memory now, and no failures at all.
  8. F'n A!!! can we have this one DAD!!?!?!??!?!?!!??!
  9. Don't just thank that POutS, remember all the bullschitt gun laws the Libtards have been pushing on us for years. There was pretty much 0% chance to respond with force to this wannabe ISIS schitpile with any way that we would respond with accordingly. ....at least in a "legal" way, beings I don't know of any shopping mall that has an allowed weapons policy----excepting their mall cops....
  10. I love it!!!!!!
  11. That is why I don't really donate towards many (if any) larger, national charities. Most of them have been fundraising for themselves. I am NOT speaking for the aforementioned good, and UPRIGHT charities. Although, maybe I should start up my own charity, Bubbas Help Services, and "push" all the "necessary" financial upkeep needs into my appropriate acccount...... Then again, I must live with myself afterwards.....
  12. Leo does some very good covers, and isn't afraid to try something out. I have been watching/listening to his covers for a while now.
  13. I put most of my donations towards a variety of Catholic charities. Most of my donated/volunteer time is put into my local Knights of Columbus chapter, but I do put some monies towards Catholic charities, and even those I do a bit of research on before I make donation. The record of Catholic charities are much more in line with the second table, the money goes to helping the needed persons, not large salaries.
  14. I have come to the conclusion of saying to a new shooter "If the handgun isn't comfortable in the hand, then find another one, because if the comfort factor isn't there (gun/hand fitting correctly) then the recoil is going to be a problem more than anything." Proved correct on that one again with my wife. She could NOT make her 1911's work for herself, no matter what we tried to do for with the manual of arms; she was flawless with shooting them for years. Stepped into revolvers, and she could shoot them, but recoil was always an issue. At a range play day, I finally got her to shoot my SAR B6P (CZ75 clone), and she loved it! She could reooad, function slide, recoil was no problem, and it fit her hand comfortably. Problem solved, her S&W 19 went down the road for another CZ clone, and she is happy now.
  15. Found everything I was looking for locally. Moderators, you can lock thread if you want.
  16. Spoiled right out of the gate-TacOps.....winner, winner, chicken dinner!
  17. Damn, I was hoping for a clear cut choice....
  18. I am trying to figure out if there is a big enough difference between two kinds of barrels to warrant a $100 price difference between two uppers from the same company----Palmetto State. One is a melonite treated 4150V barrel and the other is a Chrome Moly Vanadium HPT/MPT made by FN. Both have the same profiles and gas systems. Opinions, please?
  19. Yeah, I just picked up an Anderson lower parts kit (all parts to make lower functional except tube and stock assembly)....hope those will fit/work in an Anderson lower...... Thanks for the info on cmmg.... I am just grabbing my stuff from various local dealers, watching prices I can get most things for what the cost+shipping would be on individual parts orders.
  20. Even with it just being a lower pin and spring kit from CMMG? Awesome. ...
  21. Cool! I just wanted to double check what I had been told locally....maybe this is the beginning of an addiction?
  22. I figured I would ask the guys that know.... First AR15 build for me, and I am putting a bit of a Frankenlower together....I want to know if a set of Armalite FCG (trigger/hammer only) will work without problems in an Anderson lower receiver. I will be using CMMG springs/pins.... I am not altogether sure of what parts are completely interchangeable yet, hence my question. Thanks in advance!
  23. That is where they want everyone, alot of wiggle room for them/confusion supreme on our end.....and new regulations. .....they win, we lose.
  24. Looks alot like a solid handle Raptor at first glance.
