  1. That our English Lab "Tojo" that we lost last year. He was an incredible block head. We recently adopted a Flat Coat Retriever that some one tossed out on the side of the road. She's turned out to be another great dog. We have always had retrievers, one golden, 2 Labradors and now a flat coat. I swear they are all alike. Ya can't beat their temperament.
  2. In following the unwritten forum rule, I mentioned it, so I bought it. Ya know, ya got to take one for the team, so I did. I just pulled the trigger on a RISE Armament RA-140 SST trigger.
  3. Another warm welcome from a fellow North Carolinian!
  4. Nice build congrats!

    Grilling

DNP is that a Traeger? If so how do you like it. I might be bringing one home this afternoon.
  6. Now that he's gone, I hope they take their country back. Raul won't be hard to over throw. It's the perfect place for the now defunct Democraps to set up camp. A liberal exile safe space if you will. And Hitlery could really use the vitamin D.
  7. My Sears and Roebucks Ranger 103-2 (Marlin Model 80). That piece o crap, ancient, no serial number, open site, no bluing left 20 dollar rifle just won't go away. The cheap and fun to shoot part, keeps it hanging around. Not to mention it's pretty darn accurate for a rifle built around 1920. Someone wanted it for their sons first rifle. He offered me 150 bucks for it. I just couldn't let it go.
  8. I now have a 1.5-4.5, now looking for a 1-6. My old eyes needs that extra 1.5.
  9. The barrel whip at the end was awesome. Great video unforgiven!
  10. Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Darnit I'm stuffed!
  11. Hey button buck, I found the gun store. tsswarehouse.com/ Sign up for the email alerts. If he dumps 10 on special you'll be the first to know. Also check out his gun shop link. The guy has some good deals in his clearance link also.
  12. Aim surplus has the Rise Armament RA-140 SST trigger for $99 Shipped. Linky below. Rise RA-140 trigger

  14. FIFY Shepp.

    Hello

Here's a warm welcome from North Carolina!
  19. That's a dang trophy down here. Nice job Pete!
  20. Dang editor timed out. I have seen them for $750 on Armslist. I think it's one heck of a bargain for the price. It's a nice blank canvas that I could make my own. The LR308 is one thing DPMS did right.
  21. Yup that's what I own. I bought it from a dealer in Utah. He had 10 of them on sale right before Christmas last year. Recent photo of my "little" rifle. You'll think I'm crazy, but I like the glacier guard.
  22. I own a DPMS Oracle 16". I like the Oracle as it has the 16" HBAR barrel and is blowing my mind how accurate it is. I have had no malfunctions of any kind (run it wet). I mounted a 1.5-4.5 X 32 Bushnell Banner on it and it's compact, easy to swing and fast to get back on target. A muzzle brake would make it even faster, I don't find it obnoxious at all to shoot. Who am I kidding, it's a damn BLAST to shoot! I swapped out the DPMS stock and grip for the Hogue set and prefer it WAY over the stock stuff. A new single stage trigger is next on my list. I feel real comfortable saying mine covers every thing from home defense to hunting out to 600 yards. My 870 shotgun (home defense), 30-30 Winchester (brush gun) and a .300Win Mag (reach out and touch ya rifle), don't see the light of day anymore. All in all, I'm very happy with it and was a damn deal at $659 SHIPPED!
  23. Am I a bad person for laughing at this?
  24. As a Veteran I want to thank all of you for the recognition. Most of us served on our own beliefs and will. We were not forced into service, but willingly joined to serve this great nation of ours. I was my honor to serve our country and it was the best damn job I ever had! From a former tanker, thank you from the bottom of my heart!
