I just ran a boresnake through it 3 or 4 times. Didn't see any burr. If there was one I didn't see the first FMJ removed it.

The build of my ar308 pistol is finally working. Sig 12.5in barrel PA10 Space Cannon lower. PA10 stripped upper. 12 inch keymod rail from LGS Armalite carbine buffer tube, spring, and buffer. PSA adjustable brace. Cheap Monstrum 2x7 scope. White Oak custom gas tube. Lower parts kit from Midway. The Midway bolt catch didn't fit and neither did the Sig one I bought. Looking at the lower the slot the bolt catch fits in needed to be a bit longer side to side for the bolt catch to move up and down. I removed a little bit of material off the bolt catch and now it works as it should. Still waiting on the PSA takedown and pivot pins to come back in stock. The ones midway sent stick out the right side just a bit. They do go all the was through the receiver just stick out on the one side a bit. 1st target 190 gr hertenburger match @95 yards 2nd target top group PPU 168 match same distance. 3rd target 149gr ball. 2 different groups w/scope adjustment. Groups shot off of bipod with no bags. A better trigger and better optics and bags should improve the groups a bit. For a truck gun it will do just fine.

The new barrel arrived today. Drilled it out to 5/64. Punch did knock out the piece of bit in the 1st barrel. That port is 3/32. If I build another pistol I will use a adjustable gas block on that.

Use a polymer 80%. No way to make it go boom.

Driving it through was my first thought. I HAD a roll pin punch for gas block roll pins. Real short punch end. Bent the crap out of it trying to drive bit through. Broke it trying to straighten it out.

11 1/8" ordered length. 1/16" drill bit was too small next size up I had was 3/32" if there was way too much gas I was going to get an adjustable gas block. New barrel will be here Monday. Cobalt bits In 64's arrived today. Think I will Install the new barrel and mess with the stuck bit latter. Think I will drill out new barrel to 5/64" before I even install it. Now where did I put that dimpling jig?

I just ordered another one. Tried to drill out the gas port just a little. Bit broke off just as it broke through. Gas tubes finally showed up. Would eject but not lock back or pick up next round. Cobalt bits will be in tomorrow. Any ideas how to get the broken bit tip out?

Back when I was a lot younger (in my teens) we hunted mule deer out in Colorado every fall. The rancher out there had horses you could shoot off of. Don't know how they were trained but it did happen. I have a dog that cowers in the house when anyone within a mile is shooting. Over the last 3 years he is a bit better about it because after every trip I make out to our range he gits a piece of cheese. Now when I come in from the range he is sitting at the fridge waiting on his cheese. Good luck on the farm purchase. Animals can be trained it just takes time and work.

I have a couple ATI hybred lowers. They have several hundred rounds through them. So far, so good. Surplus Ammo parts and uppers have worked well for me. Model 1 sales stuff is good.

If you call Armalite they will usually make you a kit even if the web says out of stock.

If you already have hotel reservations. Ship the 80% And parts to yourself at the hotel. They will hold it 4 you. Just don't ship a completed lower.

Don't think white oak made the gas tubes this week. They haven't charged my credit card yet.

Gas block and gas tube. Would also suggest LaRue MBT-2 trigger Barrel nut is DPMS pattern. PA10 upper is DPMS pattern low rail height.

I have built a number of guns off Anderson lowers. They work just fine. My 223 pistol w/Anderson lower has over 5k rounds through it. No worries.
