Just measure the gas tube to the pin hole while still in the gas block. Then just measure another gas tube from the pin hole to the end and add the two measurements.

Take the gas block off and measure the gas port first. You only change one thing at a time. Unless your buffer spring is totally wack the rifle length recoil system should work. Quit throwing parts and money at the problem till you figure out what the problem is.

How snug did the new barrel fit the receiver? Any play? If so you can use locktite 609 to bed it in.

In do not recall who made those. I bought those to haul FAL mags and I haven't had one of those for about 8 years. I also have some open top single 308 mag pouches somewhere. Pretty sure those are Condor.

The Magpul 25 rnd mags fit in AK mag pouches pretty well

You have the adjustment on the front sight backwards. If it's shooting high you raise the front sight to lower the point of impact.

Carbine is the collapse stock vs rifle which is a fixed stock. The rifle buffer tube is longer and uses a longer buffer. Usually a different spring than the carbine except Armalite. Armalite uses the same spring for both recoil systems.
