I had a couple of CB's that would bleed over but they were running a lot more than the 5 watts allowed. I had a cb that at the drive thru at Hardee's. If I keyed the mic it erased all the order Information off their computers. There are filters available that screen out the interference on TV's.

Just took a bit of studying. I had a novice license almost 50 years ago. I can hit 3 repeaters from home on 2 meters. Just another drain on the gun budget.

What length barrel/gas system? Palmetto was putting "mid length" gas systems on 18&20" barrels before.

Been studying for the FCC test for my ham radio license. Passed the technician test today. Haven't really studied for the General license test much. I missed 3 questions too many to pass the General . I'll get it next time. Guess I should actually read the books I have and study. Another hobby that requires $$$$$. Having coms if the phones are down is a pluss though.

From what I read the buffer tube is the same length as the Armalite set. That lets you use a H3 buffer and the springco red spring if their buffer and spring don't work.

I used one of those in highschool. I would have to learn how to use one all over again.

They are working on the outages as fast as they can. Mostly neighborhoods in the bigger cities now. Ours was back on last Friday night about 2330. So many trees down. This week highs only in the 50's and lows about freezing. So some folks are a bit chilly w/o power. They have brought in crews from other states. Just a lot of work to restore the grid. My converter that keeps the battery charged and runs the 12 volt systems on my 5th wheel went out and I didn't know it . Replacement part will be delivered tomorrow. My generator runs just fine so the 12 volt system being out was no big deal. I think solar panels and more batteries are in the future.
