Unless I apply for a job with .gov somewhere, those lying sacks of sh!t weren't going to be listed in my job history anyways. They can choke on a gangrened dick.

He's naturally very angry that I've decided not to stick around his company while he and my manager feed me BS and stab me in the nuts every chance they get. I called him out on his BS and he very quickly found himself being challenged at every false statement. Needless to say this only happened about two or three times before he figured out that he had nothing to say and I had nothing to lose. He attempted to control the entire situation and lost that battle too. After telling me I wouldn't be needed any further, I thanked him for making me eligible for unemployment benefits and informed him that I wouldn't be complying with his instructions on turning in my security badge and being escorted off the property, which pissed him off even further. Needless to say, I burned that bridge quite thoroughly and was happy to be able to tell him off without having to sweat the consequences. He had the audacity to call me childish and then hypocritically asked for me to return my uniforms, which I was required to wear and wash myself. So, this week at work with my new old company, I issued them 5 sets of rags to clean heavy equipment with, and then I will return them per his request when next he shows up at the plant where I'm now stationed.

So for some time, I tried and tried to negotiate better compensation at my old job. I told them last year that I was willing to take on more tasks and responsibilities in exchange for higher pay. After stalling for a couple months and promising a pay increase that never came, things finally came to a head and I asked simply to be transferred to a plant closer to home. I was promised to be relocated to the plant nearest me, which would reduce my driving from 3 hours a day (uncompensated) to less than 1. I actually was relocated there for one week at the end of last August, and then the following week I was relocated again to the plant I'd been managing now since last September, 2 hours driving per day uncompensated. After my annual review in April, in which my supervisor screwed me royally, I called their bluff and told them I would no longer be filling the role of the site manager unless they increased my compensation. They promised a raise and a promotion, but made no commitment to a time frame. Since my first conversation with those jokers, I have been losing money working for them. I burned through my savings, then through my emergency funds, and finally into debt two weeks ago. That was the last straw, more than 60 days had elapsed since their last empty promise and I had no intention of letting my family suffer for their lack of integrity. So I polished up the old resume and started preparing to distribute applications locally. Last Thursday night, out of nowhere I got a call from my old employer! He said he was hoping I needed a job, I told him as a matter of fact I WAS looking for a job, when did he need me to start? He said, "Monday, if you can!". So Friday morning about 7am I called my supervisor from work and told him I'd work the weekend but wouldn't be back on Monday. He sounded panicked and said "Let me call the regional manager and I'll get back to you!", so I stuck to business as usual and never heard anything back from him. At about 9:45am, the regional manager rolls onto the site hopping mad! -- to be continued....

I'm curious as to why it can't be used in a non-bench situation, I think it would be fantastic for helping you level a bipod when shooting from a hide on an incline.

You aren't kidding, the PRS is a weapon unto itself.... I don't trust mine at all until it's had at least 6 beers, and even then you can't turn your back on it!

Here's the deal with the monolithic design: Cowitnessed optics, magnifiers, NVOs ,etc.. benefit from the monolithic rail design in that they will consistently return to zero and not be subject to POI shifts that can result from the forearm losing it's thread tension at some point. This is one of the reasons the SPR platform featured a monolithic rail that spanned the receiver and forearm. On the whole, it's a much more rigid platform than receivers that utilize thread tension for rigidity. In any case, to each their own, but I sought this platform out to see how much accuracy I could achieve and the monolithic design has so far yielded the best results in that regard.

I'm thrilled to see this much interest in the product! With regard to those looking to invest, you probably know very well that startups aren't inexpensive to get up and going, so PM me about that, I've got some good profit-sharing options that I think you'll like a lot. I don't yet have a time frame for mass production of these just yet. The parts and assembly are incredibly complex and I'm trying to find a way to simplify and expedite machining and assembly processes in order to widen the margins on these enough to make it both worthwhile and competitively priced.

That's a very good point, completely valid. I guess that's the price I'll be paying to try to push leading-edge design and technology onto what is still a fairly narrow market, I'm hoping the fact that I'm not just copycatting a bunch of stuff that's already grown tired in the aftermarket components market will play well with my customer base. I mean, Tom has already found a Geisselle rail that's very much emulating my own idea. GEISELLE, no less... The "Celtic Cross" pattern has a lot of traction in the market, but I feel I'm well positioned to threaten the difficulties that design throws into the equation.

Speaking of sandpaper, applying it to perhaps a stippled surface might make it ever so slightly less......stipply as it were... Just a thought. <dontknow>

I had to get creative with the "diamond"(patent pending) shape. One of the many problems I kept running into with round hand guards, is that they were difficult to steady with 45° offset sights, what with the rifle rolling around like a drunken double amputee on a spiral staircase. Offset sights work great as the rifle rests naturally on angle when the bipod isn't deployed. Funny story, my wife was doing rapid rifle-to-sidearm drills with the new handguard, and her pinky got lodged in a keyhole right as she was transitioning to the sidearm! I was ROFLMAO while that 10lb rifle put her in an arm-bar with the rest of the ladies in her class stood looking on in shock and awe...

My raw materials are a little bit of a trade secret, I've invested a lot of my kids' college fund in this thing, I'd hate to send all that down the drain for "Joe the Garage Gunsmith" to be making his own. However, if you were interested in trying one, I can certainly understand the appeal of it.

I haven't determined a price point for it yet, but if I understand you correctly, I'd have no problems whatsoever with sending one out for review.

That thing is amazingly sturdy, it has taken all the abuse I've thrown at it and then some. This thing handles a 3 foot drop like it's nothing.

You are correct. The principal idea there was to keep the area where the legs are mounted from robbing keymod slots of precious rail real-estate. In this way, whatever the legs are displacing, can simply be mounted on the legs themselves. This is where this system comes into it's own when it comes to other rails or bipods. it wouldn't surprise me at all to see competitors start putting picatinny rails on their bipod legs based on this system.

Yes, it's fully free floated! The handguard can also be rotated up to 180 degrees to accommodate usage in doorways or other cover/concealment options. Also, at the full 180 degrees of rotation, the bipod can be paracorded to an overhead item to provide stabilization from a "hanging emplacement" configuration, just in case potential buyers have an application for shooting from aerial platforms like tactical helicopters and stuff. :ph34r:
