  1. Thanks! Who was the other lucky dude?
  2. I'll take one, PM me and we'll work out payment.
  3. Fixed it for you bro. <thumbsup>
  4. Absolutely not. The voices have commanded it, and it shall come to pass that you will buy the 338 next... You're not getting away with this after putting the rest of us in soup kitchens!
  5. The graveyard that they found him in is about 5 minutes from my house. Sad news, RIP Mr. Trickle.
  6. Here's the generic numbers, because I don't have Ops Inc actual numbers at hand right now: .308 in 24" barrel = 156.2dB (per this reference) 85 db is considered hearing safe. So by the math, 156.2 - 85 = 71.2 db reduction @ minimum.
  7. Guys, be on the lookout, I was talking to my machinist buddy this evening, and we whipped up an incredible adjustable gas block idea. I gotta sit down and get it all drawn out and spec'd up..
  8. I'm not that discriminative, suppressed is fun whether super/subsonic for me.
  9. That's the next project, finding subsonic rounds that will actually cycle the action..... Lots of R & D to be done on that front!
  10. Kimber. My next 22 rifle will be a Kimber. They are just a sweet SWEET rifle.
  11. Working hard on that bro, but I imagine it will sound almost exactly like
  12. Isn't this an amazing country? You have to be mentally competent to stand trial, but not to run the country.
  13. Hindsight is 20/20... It's also the only thing you benefit from when you live with your head firmly lodged in your rectum.... Sucks for them.
  14. Everything just became crystal clear.... Everyone in government is trying to avoid BRAIN CANCER! Just kidding. Not really. Seriously though, I hear she had them reconstructed.
  15. I don't have any cold hard numbers on the wear factor, just a working knowledge of brass and steel. With what I have invested in my barrels, I don't want the wear that will result from shooting steel cased in it until the barrel is worn to the point that chamber wear won't influence accuracy or repeatability. I want my chambers to wear as little as possible for as long as possible, and brass is far preferable to steel in that respect.
  16. ... and now he can see noises! <laughs> <lmao>
  17. Well, if you're gonna twist my arm... We start with a center drilled piece of 316SS bar stock.. Step drill it up a little... Bore it out to .800" with boring bar... Now cut OD to .936" to match gas block.... Cut 20 degree angle at front per drawing... I don't have any pictures of cutting the 45 degree chamfer in the rear, but it was very simple, and finally pictures of the finished product.
  18. It's together! The beast is finished and will see it's inaugural test firing tomorrow afternoon! I took some pics of the process too, gonna try and get them uploaded to update the thread.
  19. *Crosses arms and begins with a know-it-all tone of voice* I'm very partial to my Ops Inc 12th Model (30 cal). Of course, I haven't even shot it yet, and really have never even fired a suppressed weapon in my entire life, but I'm very partial to mine... <laughs> <lmao> <thumbsup> Seriously though, tomorrow that is all going to change, hopefully.
  20. I've spoken with George, not a whole lot but enough to be impressed with what a nice, knowledgeable guy he is. I wouldn't hesitate to use their services for anything.
  21. There's a 1k range at Butner, NC. That's about 4-5 hours from me, I'm in the southwest part of the state. Welcome to the forums brother!
  22. I wouldn't for one very simple reason, and that is chamber wear. It's going to be far more aggressive with steel than brass.
  23. Uhm, is it a vowel or a consonant? :help:
  24. Crickets & Tumbleweeds bro, gotta learn to love 'em!
  25. This made me laugh out loud for quite some time. Thanks for making me feel better.
