  1. Those are Ops Inc brakes, but based on the pictures, aren't suppressor compatible. Do you have a link to the actual item on auction?
  2. Write down what your objectives are with the piece, have a checklist of what you aim to accomplish with the article. Put that list in the order you want those points to be addressed, and then write your piece using your checklist to keep track of your points covered. Proofread your first draft, make corrections, proofread second draft and make final corrections, and put it out there for everyone to read. Also, Guill732's advice is golden. <thumbsup>
  3. He was found in his home, tied to a chair and shot in the back of the head.
  4. Dodge owner is the clear winner here. Best thing I've ever been told, "Talk is cheap, put your money where your mouth is, or shut up." Chevy owner should've known, he who pulls first pulls best.
  5. First of all, if you're going to watch this, make sure you have 25-30 minutes free. Then hear this guy out. I wish we could march him straight into congress, and lock every US Representative into their chair until they heard what he's saying.
  6. Oh yeah, that flounder was laying there thinking, "I am invisible, I am nothing but some discolored sand, I am invisible!". The Osprey is like "You are dinner, you are tasty and I can see both your eyeballs as plain as daylight, you are dinner!" *POW* Dinner. Awesome video Madhouse!
  7. I wish we were getting more feedback from LE agencies letting everyone know they wouldn't enforce such laws. I normally wouldn't say this, but it's high time for a rebellion. I'm not going to stand for differences of opinion being legislated onto me, especially when it's in violation of the Constitution.
  8. We've got Ospreys all over the place where I work. Duke Energy has an initiative going to provide sanctuaries for endangered birds of prey.
  9. You raise a fair point, but I want to ask you a question. Let's imagine that you hear a guy trying to break into your home, and you arm yourself. Are you not going to clear your home/property when you hear the bad guy abandon his initial approach? Why wouldn't it be natural to clear your property while you're still armed? In this case, the guy found that the bad guy wasn't giving up completely, but merely trying a different approach. As such, especially with children still in the home, he's justified in using deadly force, if for no other reason than the threat's persistence. My $.02 anyways. <dontknow>
  10. Being that it's an animated .gif with a transparency layer, it's going to be a pain to deal with for anyone. It's best to just look for a smaller version of the same .gif using something like Tineye or the Google image search.
  11. Good man. Wish I could put that word on every billboard in this country along with instructions to look it up.
  12. I was talking to my barber today and an interesting point came up. America is the one country in the world where you can literally take a human life (abortion) just because you want to, but if you want a high capacity magazine for your rifle, the government wants you to justify it. This country isn't going to hell in a handbasket, it's already there.
  13. In the interest of keeping it a pleasant place to hang out, argumentative threads usually are either scrubbed or trashed completely. Everybody comes here to enjoy themselves, anything akin to bickering or infighting has to either be kept to PMs or done away with. When you look at our membership numbers, it's astonishing how FEW members we've ever done away with, everybody acts like adults, and everybody seems to enjoy each other's company. It's why I regard 308AR as my all-time favorite gun website, and I'm not just saying that, it is a fact.
  14. Keep your kayak handy anyways brother, that tsunami that follows is a real doozie.
  15. ...but, but, but.... HE WAS NEIGHBORS WITH A MOSSBERG ARMORER!!! <laughs> I remember that...
  16. Condolences and best wishes to the family. A name is what you make of it, and John Noveske in his short time here made a name that is synonymous with excellence. Rest in peace John.
  17. Looking forward to it brother, be safe!
  18. In answer to the question about HP ammo, I have a close relative, now retired, who was working in what's now a member of the DHS when all the seperate agencies were incorporated into the DHS. His issue ammo AND his qualification ammo were both premium quality hollowpoints. That's simply what they're carrying and being issued.
  19. Thanks! I need to get a good strategy laid out for myself, right now everything is just rattling around in that big vacuous space between my ears.
  20. If I understand correctly, JP's silent spring assembly serves to replace both the spring and buffer as a single captured unit.
  21. People like you and me spread them around. <thumbsup>
  22. Glad you cleared that up, every time I looked at your username, I was trying to figure out whether you are a fisherman or musician.... <laughs>
  23. Watch this video brothers, I promise you it is worth your time. It's time for the mainstream media to be a two way street again. Pour Hollywood's hypocrisy all over their own heads and share this video with everyone you know.
  24. Aw come on guys, it's bad but not that bad. I'll take a stab. See? Easy as pie. Just gotta understand where our sleep-deprived friend is coming from.
