That in itself is quite the undertaking brother. The preppers/skeptics/conspiracy folks are all standing on firm 'I told you so' ground right now while the rest of us look a little sheepish. I'm hitting up the local gunshow circuit, this time I won't be there to relax and enjoy myself.

The massacre of small children tends to trump things like that, as it should. What noone wants to talk about, is the way this tragedy is being leveraged shamelessly for the anti gun agenda. No doubt about it, the perpetrator of this crime is a lowlife beyond description, but lower still are the scumbags in Washington who are going to use the emotional momentum of this tragedy to move their legislation forward.

I hate to say it gentlemen, but a situation that's been purely hypothetical for decades has overnight become a reality. It's going to be ugly.

I agree with you 100%, but you and I aren't politicians, we're realists. You can bet your last dollar that a politician is never going to tell an entitled minority that they're about to have to grow some callouses on that hand getting the handout.

Mental health has it's place in the trial of a person accused of wrong doing. I'm sorry, but I really do not give a rat's ass what their major malfunction is when they are putting bullets in an innocent child. Such a person needs to be incapacitated immediately with extreme prejudice, regardless. I'm with you on this one Jon, an ounce of prevention is worth more than all the legislation they can come up with.

I don't necessarily disagree with police in our schools, but otherwise I echo your sentiments 100%. Having a LEO presence in schools where the majority of adults wouldn't adopt personal firearm use, or are unable to be physically proficient with a weapon, could be the answer to a potential problem. Again, I agree with the rest of your post. The entitlement mentality has been encouraged too long, it's high time people learned to be a self-sufficient society again.

In the future all buyers and sellers need to remember that transactions are strictly between the buyer and seller, and must be resolved between those two parties. I agree with you 100%. The media currently has the monopoly on people control, I think that's a hard dynamic to fix.

My heart goes out to the victims & their families. Nothing is harder to deal with than an early death and an unfulfilled life. Meanwhile, the media has lost no time in capitalizing on this tragedy.
