They are the best if you ask me. I spent about 45 minutes on the phone with Daniel Dregne the other day. Great people, great product, and very eager to do anything they can to help you.
You write their paychecks my friend. Take advantage of that fact and call them up. They are very knowledgeable and they're not going to steer you wrong. The better informed you are, the less likely you'll get yourself in trouble. They will make sure you know what you need to know.
To legally get a Tax Stamp for a self-built can, you have to submit the correct form to the BATFE. Based on your aversion to the BATFE, I'd say you probably don't want to go through the trouble, but I could be wrong.
Madhouse, before the insanity settled in, they were running anywhere from the mid 200's here all the way up to the mid 400's range. Now that the insanity has settled in, it might not be so difficult to get up into the 5-600s and sell it.
You can ask them all the questions you want. They want you to be legal just as much as you want to be legal. I highly doubt they're adding you to a watch list just because you're trying to do things lawfully.
Do you have any pictures of the mags, and if not, can you get some? Let me know if you have them, I'll help you get them posted up here if you need me to.
I've never bothered to sign up. It's a rather large and disjointed group of people. I prefer a community setting. Everybody here knows one another, and most of us share a common mindset. That's why I don't spend much time in those larger, more disjointed settings.
POF and GAP have both had very good success with the piston system. There are varying opinions on it, but I haven't seen much factual data to support the opinions that knock the piston system.
I think it's a nice design, but I can't help but think of how difficult the outline of the thing would be break up.... You'd need some serious ghillie drapes for that beast...
Yeah, I'm thinking a single post for the sake of the sale, and then we can e-mail him if we want to buy? I'm thinking this post can easily be reposted once he's read the rules for the "For sale" section anyways.
I was thinking the exact same thing, thus my line of questioning. The other possibility I was thinking was that maybe his bolt carrier wasn't a common type, and doesn't lock back like my SI Defense NiB carrier.
I agree very strongly with you on that point. I've heard some amazing things from very creditable people who turned to homeopathic doctors rather than suffer from commercial procedural medicine. The medical world can be downright miraculous if you can keep greed out of it.
