  1. Looking like satan himself and devilish good looks are two different things Tom.... <laughs> <thumbsup>
  2. Young Manufacturing also makes 308 AR bolt carriers. Their website is under construction but you can order by the phone number listed there. I have a Young Mfg BCG and it is bad to the bone.
  3. I have bad news for you sir... <laughs> <munch>
  4. I don't have it on a blueprint yet, it's still in my head at this point. I am trying to remember who it was here who built their own adjustable gas block and came straight out of the block with an unbent gas tube. I wanted to follow a similar pattern, but it may not be strictly necessary. I suppose what I need to do is look at the largest common size gas block bore (.937 - .940 probably) and see how close the bore for the gas tube is in relation. So if anyone has a GB for a .936 gas shoulder and you can take a picture and or measure the difference between the bores, that would be helpful.
  5. I don't know...
  6. What?
  7. I now have limited access to a machine shop, drilling won't be a problem. I'll check out the link for sure.
  8. Where can I get a rifle-length STRAIGHT gas tube? I'm getting ready to have an innovative adjustable gas block prototyped and I will need an unbent gas tube. Anyone that could help me find one, I'd appreciate it immensely.
  9. Good job! That's a beautiful deer! <thumbsup>
  10. I'm not too worried about it. This is just another in a long list of hypocrisies the .gov engages in for the sake of maintaining the status quo. It will meet with failure just like every other historical bid for tyrannical rule.
  11. Of course not, "Red Dragon" runs like a dream in these machines... <laughs> Seriously, this is an awesome point. Just because steel-cased, berdan primed, well-lacquered "Pink Owl" only costs you $0.42 per round, doesn't mean that it's a good choice of ammo. Look into some more dependable match ammo offered by smaller companies who are emulating the Federal Gold Medal Match round. Hunting Shack Ammo, Bitterroot Valley Ammunition, Copper Creek, Southwest Ammunition and so on and so forth. All good and inexpensive alternatives to FGMM that perform indistinguishably so far with the 168 and 175 grain bullet weights, in my experience anyways. Edit: After reading your post I see that this doesn't apply to your case specifically, but I'm leaving it as advisement for anyone diagnosing the same issue.
  12. Welcome to the forums. Pictures of the children (ARs) are a fine way to celebrate your joining... ;D
  13. I got my suppressor on Eric's trust just the way it is, but I recommend the attorney for a very simple reason... You can completely customize the trust to suit any situation that may arise that might not be covered in Eric's setup. If you can spare the cash, by all means go through an attorney and have the peace of mind. Having said that, I do vouch for Eric's method. His trust is 100% solid and will pass the ATF's review with flying colors. Just don't forget to amend the trust once your item arrives.
  14. I'll look one up and see if I might want it, I'm thinking I'll restock it with walnut ATM.
  15. I've had dreams where I managed to draw and attempt to fire, only to find that the trigger is impossibly heavy. Checking the safety reveals the firearm to be in firing mode, but returning to pulling the trigger proves fruitless. I usually wake up as soon as I decide to abandon said firearm, but sometimes make it to the point where I'm forced to engage my opponent physically...
  16. I'd love to have anything made by the Singer Sewing Machine company during any of the world wars. I dream of finding a 1911 with crisp lettering wrapped in an old oily rag in an attic somewhere. Makes me drool just thinking about it!
  17. Trust me, the first time you set a zombie alight with your flare launcher, all your doubts will fade to nothing. <laughs>
  18. Awesome videos, thanks for sharing!
  19. Best gun pic posted in the last 6 months! I haven't laughed this hard in so long, I can't even remember the last time I laughed so hard.... Yeesh! <laughs> <lmao> Thanks blue, I needed that! <thumbsup>
  20. Keep the info coming gentlemen! The Mauser action is in the mail! I'm gonna take my time and do it right, but I'm so stinkin' excited it's ridiculous. Also, I will be needing a name for this gun, so lay 'em on me.
  21. That's funny you mention that heminut, I've had the ineffective fire nightmare several times, and my dad has described having the slow bullet nightmare.
  22. Yep. One is a good sign that you're going to need at least a 25-gun safe here in the very near future. Better set aside some "vault cash".
  23. Welcome to the forums Chris!
