  1. It sounds like they aren't really opening up your choices much... my question would be what WILL they actually allow?
  2. <laughs> C - 71 more years on the market
  3. Thanks for sharing! <thumbsup>
  4. Well done! I think the CCW course is something everyone that can should pursue.
  5. Update: As of June 4th, my suppressor's status is "pending approval". The guy said I could expect to get it about December. So far so good!
  6. *cough cough* Square! *cough cough* <laughs>
  7. Welcome to the forums! There will be a gigantic crowd along shortly to help you spend all your mon... err, I mean ADVISE you.
  8. Go for it! The wait is annoying as all get out but once it's in your hands you'll never turn back.
  9. Nice! I like it a lot! ;D
  10. To all here who serve or have served, you have my respect and my gratitude. Thanks also to the families of those who made the ultimate sacrifice, I hope that your memories of your loved ones are fond and many.
  11. Sounds great to me, I've been eager to see this board reopened for a while now.
  12. *shifts nervously* Uhm, well, this is awkward.... <laughs> <munch>
  13. I just had a brilliant flash of potential for your platform. How about an iteration of the design that includes an integral suppressor? You'd have quiet as part of the package too... Just a thought.
  14. I don't want to give the impression that I'm just argumentive, I find your point of view to be very agreeable. I place a very high value upon my own life, but I have found that my life is much easier to protect with a weapon that I can afford to personally own. In my way of seeing it, there was a possibility he was trying to say the gun was too expensive for himself without bashing the cost of the weapon or the weapon in general. Now, I won't presume that soofley was trying to say nicely that he couldn't afford it, but I didn't rule it out as a possibility, and chose to play the devil's advocate a little bit. It is my opinion (and only that) that the best weapon to defend yourself with is the best one that you can afford. If it is too expensive, it's too expensive regardless of whether or not your personal taste is to blame. Just my .02 though. :)
  15. I try to assess the quality of it's construction, it's fit to my intended purpose and shooting style, and ultimately know beforehand it's reliability based on everyday use assessments by qualified professionals. Brand is not terribly relevant as long as it is a reputable brand and has a name for themselves in customer service.
  16. It's hard to say definitively whether you could or couldn't. You could probably attain that weight with extreme weight cutting measures, but you might not get reliable function out of it.
  17. No, I was more or less referring to the "Tier 1 Operator" that graces the covers and wallpapers for the new Medal of Honor series... only this is better somehow, because it's not pretentious.
  18. Nice! I expected a four letter word followed by a three letter word. Good luck on your fishing trip!

    Godless heatherns.... <laughs> <lmao> ;)
  20. I think the price of a reliable, well-built weapon is a worthwhile investment, but what you can afford is a first concern when you are deciding what weapon you want your life to depend on. As much as I respect reputation, it isn't the same as reliability. Reliability is a proportional quality for individual weapons, not brands or products. If your Kimber jams in the middle of a firefight and you get shot with a Hi-Point, reputation didn't get you killed, reliability did. With that said, I'm not staking my life on whether or not my gun is a reputable brand, I'll stake it on the hundreds or thousands of rounds that have proved the reliability of my weapon of choice.
  21. No kidding. Being retarded is a problem noone asks for, political office is quite the opposite.
  22. They fixed the picture anyways, it still has a battery spec, lumen rating & such in the "Details" section by the price.
  23. 5 Weeks to the halfway mark! You're in the "video game wallpaper" phase it appears...
  24. I remember when muzzle flash only lasted for the duration of your shot.... <laughs>
