  1. I painted my PRS with Krylon and so far it hasn't even shown a scratch... However, I'm tempted to think of how many cans of Krylon I could buy for the cost of a new PMAG. Is it robust? No. Is it cheap & effective? Yes.
  2. Way to go man, it's nice of you to take care of your dad that way. That's a fantastic build!
  3. Welcome to the forums! 8)
  4. Chinese trigger drill? <laughs>
  5. I run an Osprey on my favorite rifle and I've sold them to coworkers, no complaints so far. The glass isn't going to beat high end optics, but it competes everywhere else.
  6. Larry Srader aka "392heminut" is a great guy and I give him props for being a great buyer. Very understanding and easy to deal with. If you want a great sell, Larry's your guy.
  7. You just gave me a great idea for modify existing uppers. I'm gonna have to buy a stripped A3 upper and take it to my local machine shop for some prototyping work...
  8. PM me if you're interested in a lightly used Mk12 barrel, I've got one that will be departing from me in short order....
  9. Does Krylon not come in FDE? It's an honest question, I don't really know but it seems like making your own FDE pmags would be easy with a can of FDE Krylon....
  10. What Drew said! It's a really nice pistol....
  11. ... and that's why they call you the Robobot! :hornet:
  12. It will probably have a twin soon, and there will be a can in the works as well.... ;D
  13. I was thinking more or less of something I would hypothetically try marketing to the tiny little sector of shooters who fire from the prone position.... Bear in mind that this idea is born of a person who does not shoot inside a medical-grade contaminant-free laboratory. ;)
  14. I was thinking of a left-side charging handle.... It would need it's own dust cover to travel with the protruding handle.
  15. Yeah, it's a Walther branded Smith & Wesson actually... I guess S&W contracted out to build for them but the short answer is yes the brand is Walther P22.
  16. I've been meaning to get my wife a pistol to keep handy for some time now... Well, today we went and bought this: It's a fantastic little gun! Note: If anyone really appreciates the gratuitous hand porn, please PM for details on where to mail your check/money order.
  17. I was referring to the Run & Gun, which I tested side-by-side with FGMM. http://www.southwestammunition.com/product_p/308175smk-rng.htm $17.49 per box which if my math is good, comes up to $1.01 per box less expensive. This is not even at the regularly offered promotional discounts, that's just standard cost. Yes, Run & Gun is loaded out of once-fired Lake City brass. I'm not exactly sure how never-fired brass is making up that dollar-per-box difference.... If you've tried their ammo and don't like it, that's a whole different story and I can respect that. On my part, I've tried their product and it performed beautifully. I like getting a discount on a premium item as much as the next guy, but when I can get the equivalent for less money, practicality compels me to pass it by.
  18. Why would anybody want the equivalent of FGMM at a better price? It seems like rhetorical question to me... I do like your mindset though, because it leaves more awesome ammo in stock for us thrifty fellas who like to get more for their dollar. I for one am glad that you can afford to donate to the economy so graciously. :P
  19. Amen to that. I bought 200 rounds of their 175 SMK match and it's easily the equal of FGMM.
  20. The code that causes the pop-up is protected and inaccessible unless you pay for a commercial version. Details at the bottom of this page.
  21. Toby has probably had to chase down rabbits/squirrels/chipmunks for a meal for quite some time now. No wonder dogs hate mailmen & other delivery personnel... <munch>
  22. I don't think it looks cheesy, I just think the little doodad looks kinda lonely all by itself in the middle of that big empty page.... Perhaps you could make the doodad much larger, or put more content on the page to make it a little busier to the eye.
  23. <laughs> <lmao> <munch>
  24. +1 On this, their .308 match is just as good as FGMM.
  25. I have worked in the HVAC industry and nothing in it is cheap. Labor and equipment are outrageously costly at every level, by the time it gets to the customer, the stacked up margins are killing you. If you ever want to just call and consult with someone who can tell you whether or not you're being ripped off on AC work, PM me and I'll put you in touch.
