  1. 9 minutes of simmer will give you a fully dry yolk and the white will still be less rubbery than if boiled. ?
  2. Happy Thanksgiving to all my brothers here, my family and I extend our love to all of you and your families.
  3. Dang it, that makes me hungry....
  4. I had that brake on a DPMS and it worked tremendously well. Nobody beside you at the range is going to like you, but it will make your muzzle really tame during the recoil cycle.
  5. You're absolutely correct on this front, and not only that but you outshot a stone-cold sober dude with a suppressed M&P on steel at 3am. A feat I will not soon forget.
  6. I can see Alan's point, assuming a gas port hasn't been drilled yet. I think part of the explanation is semantics. It's a lot harder to clearly describe the issue than it is to simply visualize.
  7. Flange is what threw me at first too, I believe he's referring to the face on the muzzle end of the barrel extension.
  8. Well, forward in the sense of heading towards the muzzle and potentially leaving the BCG riding farther forward. The shoulder on the barrel extension is theoretically still resting on the receiver face. Otherwise, completely agree with your assessment. Simplest solution seems to be to wait until correct headspace is established and then drill the gas port. ?
  9. My eyes hurt from looking at it.... I've never touched a drop in my life and I still feel like I've just awakened from a drunken stupor to discover that I bedded the Lock Ness monster's ugly cousin. That beast is UGLY!
  10. It's a ballpark figure, but I put 4.5 - 5k (suppressed) through the MA TEN without cleaning it. It finally started misbehaving on the first PHX trip, and after limping along on miracle lube, we opened that baby up and gave her a thorough cleaning. She was a dirty girl indeed!
  11. Bump for my buddy @sketch....
  12. Concealing one is quite a trick, but if you're ever searched, you'll love it!
  13. He doesn't have a barrel nut at this point, that and a FFHG are in the works. To your question, I don't know that there definitively has to be clearance between the barrel extension and the BCG. The end result will be where the BCG will stop when the breach face sets the bolt to the fully rearward "locked" position. Impacting the barrel extension with the BCG is unquestionably a bad idea. Ideally I would want to know the distance from the front of the BCG to the face of the bolt locking lugs when the bolt is fully locked, then use that to help determine the relationship between the breach face and the locking shoulders on the barrel extension.
  14. Are you kidding me? We have lots of folks whose fanatsy is to let a vagrant be the 'big spoon'...
  15. It's so true!
  16. I enjoyed our conversation and breakfast, will be rejoining you at the next opportunity, hopefully with plenty of time to spare for conversation. Alan is good people, looking forward to the time he'll be spending with us in coming days/years, I can't think of a better fit for our community.
  17. Fixed, thanks for the heads up.
  18. Welcome to the forums! Load that baby up with some 175gr FGMM and dominate the PRS match. I personally recommend it.
  19. Thank you! I've gotten very attached to them, they fill their roles exceedingly well.
  20. Pictured here with it's incestuous mutt cousin, SR-25/Mk11 Mod1/M110's slightly crazy uncle, AKA Mega Arms MA-TEN MTS-4400. (In background)
  21. Same here, for right now though, I have to love it's sexy younger sister:
  22. I used it to make transportation easier. It works like a charm, the only con for me is that it adds an extra step or two to disassembly of the rifle, but that's not a big deal for me.
  23. I shot you a PM with my info.
