  1. Sure can, as far as I know there's no difference in the specs, but that's a trivial problem if any.
  2. I can make you a one-off any time.
  3. I know a machinist who would do it for you free if you paid the shipping cost.
  4. Shiny object is always the one that gets his attention brother, you know this.
  5. That's so he can attach all his hopes and dreams to it. Larry is going to spank all of us with a custom Hi-Point....
  6. *Jake Gyllenhaal and Heath Ledger approved this message*
  7. I carried my commander size 1911 in an IWB clip-on made of soft leather. Was very comfortable, adjustable, and put the pistol grip in just the right place to hug up against my torso but also perfectly accessable on the draw.
  8. The whole idea of venting gas from yet another location on the AR makes no sense to me. Ideally, you'd have as much gas as possible going towards the muzzle, with just enough going to the BCG to cycle. What's with just dumping hot gas forward of the optics/sight system when there's no need?
  9. Wait until you see the injectors!
  10. Alright fellas, I'm going to share my recipe here with ya, and let all you culinary gurus try this one on for size! 1st up you'll need "boiled eggs", doesn't matter how many, recipe is adjusted according to how many eggs you want. The quotes around "boiled eggs" are there because you don't actually want to boil them. What you want to do whether you know it or not, is to have your eggs submerged under ~1" of water and heat it up to a simmer, rather than a boil. Maintain a simmer for 8.5 minutes and then remove from heat. Congratulations, you've now perfectly "boiled" your eggs. 2ndly Drain the hot water from your eggs and run cold water over them. This will cool them and help pull the white away from the shell. Now you can peel/shell your cool eggs and begin the prep. 3rdly Cut each egg in half and dump the firmed yolks into a bowl for mixing. 4thly Add the following for each egg yolk added: ~2/3rds teaspoon Mayonnaise ~1/2 teaspoon Mustard 1 pinch salt 1 dash pepper ~1/2 to 2/3 tablespoon sweet pickle relish - drained Any and all of the above can be adjusted in quantity to suit your taste. Given quantities are a starting point. 5thly Mix all the above to an even mixture, and spoon evenly onto the egg halves. Top the mixture on each egg off with a conservative dash of Cayenne Pepper, and a liberal dash of Smoked Paprika. 6thly Enjoy. You will soon be addicted to them...
  11. I'm welcoming this thread to our new Bar & Grill section of the forum, where we can discuss our love of eating & drinking in multiple topical threads. Feel free to share specific topical information like techniques, recipes, stories related to eating and drinking and the like. A beer thread might feel right at home here, for instance. Enjoy the new section guys!
  12. If money is no object, don't cheap out on the bipod. Magpul has a nice one coming out this summer for $110. Also, the palm shelf will likely do nothing except get in the way of any position other than prone, I learned this the hard way. This is only my humble opinion though, take it for what it's worth.
  13. 500 rounds of FGMM .308 175gr. $475 shipped.
  14. This. I've been at the desert shoot within the 4-week 'can-pop-at-any-time-now' window, and you can too. No excuses.
  15. Welcome to the forums from the Hickory, NC area.
  16. She's an excellent cook, but her cleaning/housekeeping skills leave a lot to be desired.
  17. She's definitely smokin' hot.
  18. If I remember correctly, he's having problems with his upper and magazine interference.
  19. I'm sure it would still be exciting without me, but it's much more exciting knowing I'll be there, and that you'll have your grill. Your tri-tip is some killer stuff brother.
  20. Shoot dates are now confirmed for the 18th through the 21st. I've got my flights booked and I'm excited about the Fall Shoot!
  21. Desert Fest 2018 begins on location on Thursday. This is a 4 day event this year!
  22. I have used the 168 SMK, and both the .308 Win and 7.62x51 designated 175 SMK versions of FGMM. Probably not more than 100 rounds of the NATO, but enough to determine that I couldn't discern any difference in the accuracy of any of it. The reason for preferring the 175 SMK is entirely ballistics related. Before I found venues to shoot extended distance, I found that at 100 yards I didn't have to change my zero and could shoot 168 and 175 interchangeably without affecting my zero. Since I find myself trying to shoot as much distance as possible these days, I prefer the heavier round for the wind factor and less elevation holdover/dialing.
  23. I know better than to let you stick anything anywhere.... Haven't you damaged me enough?
  24. Thanks, that's exactly what I need to have stuck in my head right now.
  25. I'm not having any trouble finding 175 at reasonable prices, it's all I'm going to buy for now. Speaking of which, I need to pick up another 500 rounds or so, there'll be a couple more PRS matches between now and the Fall Shoot.
