  1. Nice job magwa, I've been thinking of doing this for a while now as well. Just haven't gotten comfortable enough with the study material yet to brave the test.
  2. The wife ended up calling him Biggio, after Houston Astro's player Craig Biggio.
  3. So, our 20-year-old cat has succumb to kidney failure and we put him down a few weeks back. Now the house didn't feel right without something furry in it, so we got this 18-month rescue locally. He was rescued on one of our busy highways, with his running buddy who had been struck and was dead a day already, but this loyal guy wouldn't leave his side. His disposition is awesome, very sweet and well-behaved.
  4. Lol, 98, you critical bastid. YOU read it 11 months ago. :)) And nice work Jon. <thumbsup>
  5. Hell yeah, if I were in buy mode instead of build mode, I would get a Windham Weaponry rifle, no doubt. They were Bushmaster before Freedom Group bought them out and closed the factory, many of the same hard-working Maine-iacs went back in and re-opened the shop. Good stuff!
  6. In that price range, I'd get myself a Kimber or a Les Baer.
  7. I've added a 5 post minimum requirement to be able to post in this forum. All members can view it, regardless of post count, but 5 are required to post. - Madhouse

    POF opinions

Well, you guys are kind of bumming me out about my POF now. Granted I haven't put a ton of rounds through it, but it seems to be a top notch rifle so far for me. Maybe I need to take her out dancing and get you a better review....
  9. Forgot to update, I used the trigger twice, both shots were fruitful. Outstanding rifle, very glad I got it.
  10. LOL! That was hilarious.
  11. One of my first experiences here in Texas, and this is no bullshit. I went into a convenience store to get beer and the guy carded me. He couldn't figure out what the hell Maine was so he asked me. I said it's in the northeast. This genius says, northeast Texas? No joke, I was floored. I said Yup! and walked out with my beer. Anyway, born in Limestone, went through school in Presque Isle, worked in Old Town for an engineering firm until one of our pipeline clients from Houston asked me to come down in 94, and here I am to this day.
  12. Jeebus, 2009?!? Where are the years going?!?
  13. Thanks again fellers. I ran another couple hundred rounds through it this past Saturday, it's running awesome now. Sights suck ass. Trigger is among the best I have fingered.
  14. I gotta wait until I finish the book first. I always like to read it before I see the hollyweird representation.
  15. Thanks guys. I ran a hundred rounds through it here at the local range in Wentzville, MO, smooth as can be. I'll put a bunch more through it when I get back to Texas this weekend.
  16. Love Texas, but not real fond of Houston. But, it's a living. My family in the southern half of Maine tell me there's no snow. Unreal!
  17. Hey buddy, I've been in Texas for 20 years but I'm a born Maine-iac! Born and raised in Aroostook County. Welcome to 308AR!
  18. Complete. I swapped out the grip safety, and ended up using burnt bronze for the cerakote.
  19. Lol, cool video. Merry Christmas you bunch of degenerates.
  20. Agendas like these are why I hold the opinion that about 90% of media are functional idiots
  21. :sniper:
  22. Story of my life, nothin'!
  23. I'm thinking frame only in Cerakote's Texas Tan, leave all the rest black.

    Awesome Video.

I have had Kimbers from when I first got into guns, and always been a fan.
  25. It doesn't seem to affect functionality. Can you think of any adverse side effects from having a hammer strut that doesn't wiggle free on the hammer? It moves pretty well, but doesn't dangle loose.
