  1. I've heard nothing but rave reviews but I still haven't been able to make myself go...
  2. That's a pretty beater! But I say go for it. Change is good, just ask the pres.
  3. LOL, yeah, but like Wahlberg in the original topic, try not to let it detract from the show. BoB is an awesome series, I bought the DVD set after seeing it when it originally ran years ago and have watched the whole series several times now.
  4. Guess my weekend project is set now! LOL! That was pretty cool.
  5. Not gonna make it this year, we had been planning to go but decided against it. Have fun! Post pics!
  6. With extreme prejudice!
  7. You know, I read the book that Marcus wrote, and it was awesome. In a way I feel like that story never really should have come down from the side of that mountain, but at least in book form it took someone willing to invest the time and interest in reading it who had some level of respect for the jobs those guys do and the incredible warriors that they are. I watched a 30-minute documentary on HBO (or one of those) that showed the intent of the filemakers and actors to keep it "real-to-life" and to honor those guys, but regardless of their intent, this movie (IMHO) will romanticize the events and misrepresent it in some ways. I saw in the documentary that Marcus seemed pretty well pleased with it and how true-to-life they were making it, as well as the families of the other three warriors, so that's cool. It's their story to tell. I'm really torn about seeing the film, to be honest. The movie lover in me wants to see it, but the part of me that respects and reveres these men and their work is very hesitant. <dontknow>
  8. That was a good read, thanks!

Yeah, I think so. Had one other of his reloads and it went off like a squib load. Round got stuck in the barrel, probably because the jacket was f'd up.

I shoot a bunch of HSM ammo myself, and have always found it to be good and consistent.

So, my father in law has been reloading some ammo for me. I pulled this one out of a box he did.
  16. That's very similar to the Midway bag.

LOL, not from our cams, it was sent to me...
  20. One on the morning hunt, one on the evening hunt. I ended up with 44 pounds of sausage, 4 big roasts and maybe 30 or so cutlets from the backstrap. The morning shot was the most impressive, for me. I only have a 1.5-4.5x on my .270 and I put the round right in her lungs at 210 yards. Both doe laid down right where I shot them, so I didn't even need to do any tracking. I'm thinking about maybe going out again this weekend, see if I can find me a buck this time.
  21. What state are you in?
  22. Glad to hear you're on the road to recovery man!
  23. The check is in the mail Shepp, sorry for the delay, and thanks a bunch!
