Nope, no real direction on this one just yet. I was actually thinking of just getting a complete upper kit from sarco for 450 just so I can assemble it. For grins.
I really dig my Quicksilver Manufacturing titanium can. People talk about how quick they get hot during rapid fire. True, but I also like the quick cool down after a session.
Ha, yeah, I've got another PSA lpk with the QMS trigger. I'll get another lower at the next show and start a different build then.
Now, on to uppers. I'd really like to put one together from pieces, just to say I did, and for the knowledge.
I did have a little trouble getting the bolt release catch to work well. After I tapped in the roll pin it seemed tight, the spring wouldn't reset it, but I dropped some Break Free in there and it loosened up, now it snaps back into place. If you're having trouble with the selector being loose, I wonder if their springs are up to snuff...
Started with an ATI stripped lower, added a Palmetto State lpk today. Not real sure yet where im going with this, probably just a functional tactical unit.
One of our RSOs had an AD at his house last year, very lucky though, as he could have easily lost his pinky. He was clearing his glock and pulled the trigger by mistake.
I don't know if it actually will get back to normal.
And I forgot to mention my buys, 2 lbs of powder, 3,000 primers, a stripped spikes lower, a couple mags and other small items.
Big show this weekend at the reliant center. I just had to let you guys know what I was seeing there. Gun prices were not terrible, pretty much like store prices. I was seeing $700 ARs there.
Ammo, however, we absolutely stupid. I saw a 500 round brick of Winchester .22lr for $190! FN 5.7 ammo was selling for $130 for a 50 round box. I can't understand why we do not know what is going on with ammo, definitively.
So, this is kind of cool, I'm in San Marcos, TX for management meetings, and Gov. Rick Perry gave the opening speech this morning. He's friends with our company owner. Our agenda just listed "special guest".
