The match 5.56 barrels are made by Wilson Barrels. I assume the 7.62 Barrels are the same. The select barrels are made by Black Hole Weaponry.

I need a new one... I have a Tag Heuer, but it's from an Ex and the wife doesn't appreciate it much when I wear it. I have a decent Michael Kors watch, but it's not really "duty appropriate". I'm looking at something like the G Shock. Especially after spending all the time at SHOT, and seeing some badass gear the guys were wearing. I want a hard core, post-apocalypse, save the cheerleader save the world, Escape New York, last a lifetime, badass watch. High end Casio, Oakley... I'm open for suggestions. I'm not trying to break the bank, but daddy needs a birthday present idea.

Check out vinyl wraps. They cost less and come in some pretty original designs. I'm thinking of having my wrangler wrapped in Kryptek.

A former roommate of mine (about 10 years ago) was issued one similar while he was in the USMC. He left it behind when he moved out. I was all to excited to accept it from his free-loading ass, especially when I found about 20 mags inside the various gear he left behind. It's a good bag. I have family that have used it for backpacking. I came to find out later that he deserted after his last deployment. He claimed PTSD and took off. I wish I had known more at the time... on top of the gear he left several (empty) baggies of cocaine behind as well. Last I heard he was in Idaho or Colorado. I recently got a Timberhawk "Rut Buster" and I use it daily. (I still owe Farkle for this one). It was even a head Turner at SHOT. I wore it everyday at SHOT, 6 to 8 hours at a time.

I heard Troy was releasing a set of offset sights, but they didn't have anything at SHOT to show off. KAC and Magpul make great sets. JP Rifles makes a quick aiming mount, that looks good for anything short distance. XS Sight Sys makes a pretty genius setup. Diamond head makes a set, but I'm not really impressed with them.

I've been shooting the stainless/nitride barrels being used by SWORD Int... very impressive so far. They're getting sub 0.5MOA with their .308 and sub MOA with their .338LM

Stainless/Nitride barrels are what a lot of high end mfgr's are doing now.

What other options are there? Unlined CMV? CHF?

You're right... I forgot I disassembled mine to install a new DS Arms "enhanced" delta ring.

I spent an extensive amount of time at FN's booth at SHOT. The FNS was extremely intriguing... All sizes and models. When I asked about a .45 or a "Tactical" model, they had no answers for me.

Anything that'll attach to a standard AR15 barrel nut, should work. APEX CNC VLTOR CASV Magpul MOE There's the three most popular, off the top of my head. For the first two, you have to disassemble the delta ring assembly and the reuse the barrel nut. For the MOE you just use the delta ring as is.

I say maybe head space, or.... either the barrel or the bolt is AR10 and the alternate is DPMS.

If you watch closely, you can see the brake spinning with each shot. It just worked its way off till it completely unthreaded.
