  1. MDT is less than expensive than the Magpul, has more options, and has a much longer reputation as an accuracy enhancement product.
  2. I have to admit… I was thinking the same thing
  3. Ps. The DD Mk18 comes in a complete upper. It’s practically perfect right out of the box. BCM makes a comparable 10.5” with their Alpha rail.
  4. I like her style
  5. LOL. It’s nothing to get too excited about. I picked it up in a trade, to cover money owed. My dad has been using it for range play.I have slowly been biding my time to upgrade it at a later date.
  6. You won’t get much thinner on the .308... but you will get LIGHTER.
  7. You need to measure if you have a high receiver or a low receiver.
  8. Do you use a top rail?? Check out APEX CNC. You don’t want too thin. These heat up fast when you’re playing hard.
  9. You might be best off calling the manufacturer and asking what thread pitch your upper receiver has. The AR10 and LR308 have conflicting threads. You need to know which you have. You will almost definitely have to replace your barrel nut. Very few handguards are compatible with other nuts. Generally a “low profile” gas block is universal. Unless there’s something proprietary about it.
  10. This is the most epic video any one of us has EVER posted. I laughed my ass off.
  11. that weighs 5.4 lbs!!!!
  12. I edited my review a bit. I needed to emphasize a point... and did it at your expense. XoXoXo..
  13. Everything is so fuck’n expensive here, no one can take enough time off work. Lol
  14. Winter hours. It was barely 1800.... still not wanted in THIS neighborhood.
  15. Good to know about ththe Vortex. I need a few new glass pieces. I think everyone here is getting onboard with the G2 format. Lots of builders here still waiting for the aftermarket selection to catch up. Personally, I’ve never purchased a completed rifle off the shelf. I guarantee, if the parts were available, I would’ve built one already. I really want some of these companies to come forward and state whether their smaller parts are G2 compatible.
  16. If I was a little further off grid.... maybe some Burmese pits too
  17. I caught this one knocking on my door while I was away. She was a little surprised when I answered on the intercom. Don’t know if she was legit (selling magazine subscriptions) or scoping for empty homes. She was very surprised when a certain “motorcycle cop” (who was very far out of his jurisdiction) stopped her at the end of the neighborhood 45 mins later.
  18. Already have both.... although I just blew the spring on my garage door, so that’s a project now too. I also have 2TB of harddrive, motion sensors inside, and door/window sensors at every point of ingress. The doorbell camera is still my favorite.
  19. I would only bury the last 200’ or so, closest to the gate. I’d also use capped T couplers along the way. That’d make it really easy to tie into the line for future projects.
  20. I just dropped $3,000 on a home security system. Wife still wants me to upgrade it another $2,000. My current Internet service can barely handle th five HD cameras installed, and she wants two more, Motion sensitive lighting, new Smart smoke alarms, and additional Hue Smart lights throughout the house.
  21. 1. Run a hard line all the way down the roadway. A minor expenditure now will open up an avenue for that electric gate in the future. 2. Get a WiFi alarm system, then run WiFi repeaters down your driveway. They still require 110v power, but they also give you “smart” capabilities on your property. This could have an added benefit if you live out of cellular service range. You can switch your phone to “WiFi calling” and still use your phone while working the property. You’d also be able to install that electric gate in the future, but you could control it from a Smart Home panel/Device. 3. Cheap out and skip a ranged service. Go for an audible/visual alarm. A deafening klaxon alarm and a couple LED red strobes should get some attention. Probably get into it for a fraction of the cost of the others.
  22. Laughing is like sex. You can do it by yourself, but it’s a lot better if you do it with somebody else. I find that the longer you’re married… The better you are both of those!
  23. I have a friend who worked at/with OPD out there. I think he was there for about 15-20 years. He’s a civvy in CA now, doing workplace violence investigations for the state.
