  1. What kind of weight are we talking about? Anything special is the design/production (other than the obvious cosmetics)? They look NiB, any truth to that? As always, very handsome work!
  2. Tools you will need: a hammer, a punch pin set, a front sight removal block, an AR15 armorers wrench, a large table vice, and some kind of vice block. 1. Pull back on the delta ring, and separate the handguard. Remove both halves. 2. The front sight is held in place with "taper pins". As the name implies, the pins are fatter on one side vs the other. They must drive out from the left to the right side. The block will make this effortless and take all the guess work out. 3. To reuse your gas tube you'll need to drive out the roll pin. There's no special hint I can give you to pull the tube out. If it's stuck, keep pulling. Some solvent/lube (breakfree) couldn't hurt. 4. Clamp the upper into the vice block of your choice. Use the armorers wrench to remove the Delta ring assembly and barrel nut. You may have to remove the muzzle device at this point, to remove/replace the gas block and delta ring. 5. Install your new parts per their instructions.
  3. Ahhhh.... I didn't know about that sight. I thought it was a Specter 1/4x for $600. I almost sold a kidney to some Russian guy... not saying it was MY kidney or just a "donor".
  4. An Elcan for $600! I'd have been on that faster than Ron on a fat chick!
  5. It was taken care of last night. You shouldn't have to worry about it now.
  6. I bought 1k rounds of 124gr Wolf for $215 recently. That's a hard price to beat. Holding 4MOA in the AR15. Not great, but 4MOA is still "Minute of Dead"
  7. How cheap can brass be reloaded for?
  8. If it was an adjustable weight, like the CWS, it shouldn't matter.
  9. Screw you and all the guns in that picture that I can't own.
  10. you need to get a Gen3 carrier insert from LAW Tactical and figure out a way to make those heavier too. People can't get the inserts to swap uppers on their folding lowers. I have a folding lower that I won't swap uppers on because I have to disassemble the carrier every time. I need a different insert for each upper.
  11. Syrac and SLR seem to be the most popular. I think it's because of how easy they are to adjust, and they lock into place. As for "click adjustment" I'm not sure that exists... but I could easily be very wrong. The closest thing I can think of is the old Noveske Switch Block. Not sure they are still being made.
  12. Ben. Let me know if you want to offload that CWS. I lost mine at the range.... still pissed.
  13. Right in my backyard. Literally the edge of my beat.... not the section of town I'd expect him to be in.... it's what we call the "Glitter District". I ain't judgin, just sayin...

    Yahoooooo

You're really working hard on getting me to come visit... when is salmon time?
  15. All the mobile stuff is getting attacked in the next BIG update. Expect to see a lot of cosmetic changes that you've all requested.
  16. gawdammit!!!! Just don't forget me in the will.... I get the DD Mk18 upper too!
  17. It makes sense.... Less gas going through the BCG = more gas down the tube, behind the proj... the path of least resistance and all that scientific crap. Better cycling and better projectile performance = win/win.
  18. I can't count how many rounds I've dropped over the years. I'm actually very rough with my ammo, as I toss that shit all over. In fact, I had a dud at the range the other day, and I threw it from about 15' away, into a steel drum.... No bang! This guys was victim to an absolute freak accident. Take into account the amount of ammo shot and dropped every single day of the year, I'll bet the chances of getting struck by lightening is greater than this happening.
  19. For what it's worth. .. I heard, ONCE, about a guy able to fill the taper pin holes in the barrel and then re-drilled the barrel for a new set of taper pins. I neither know how he did it or how it can be done. Delicate metal repair is beyond my skill level... I'm more of a "force it" or buy a new one, kind of guy.
  20. I'LL TAKE IT!!!!
  21. Get a low profile clamp on block. YHM makes a decent one, but they are by far not the only option. I have a spare PRI with a rail, if you have a .875 Dia bbl. I wouldn't try to reuse the taper pin holes on a second GB. There is no spec for measuring where those are drilled. They can be unequal distance apart, tilted, angled... and you'd be blindly drilling into them from the new GB. Too much room for error.
  22. This isn't really a joke but... I quoted Tom at work the other day. I told a guy, "everytime I see you, I'm going to climb up inside your asss and stretch out like a spider monkey." It went over as expected.
  23. Nice grab.
  24. Welcome to our forum. No worries about the rifle. With a little TLC and attention, we'll get her humming Star Spangled Banner in no time.
