  1. Nut smacks around here are more of a lingering massage. We just call them "smacks" so we don't sound too gay.

this was the .11 I was referring too. I can't imagine a barrel configuration that would require a bigger hole, without going to an extended/custom length gas tube on a VERY long bbl.
  3. Welcome to the last forum you'll ever join. We're here to help you spend your money, pollute your liver, and compromise your colon. You found the only place where our brotherhood is expounded by the presence of expensive guns, cheap women, good booze and red meat..... and a couple gay jokes followed up with a nuts smack. You're welcome to stay as long as you can handle. May God have mercy on your soul.

I've never seen a gas port bigger than .11 diameter. My biggest port is .099 on my rifle length 17" bbl. I see an adjustable gb in somebody's future... a steel one!

    Your barrel hole is .155!?!?!
  6. You showed off that 16" just to spite me....
  7. I'm down for this. I'll hit up my buddy JW and see if he's up for it.
  8. I was just about to say "nice rifle".... instead I think we need to have a come-to-Jesus talk about grown men who wear sandals AND socks.
  9. Awww. I miss that big gorilla.
  10. Bubba picked up the 6.5cr He's been tempting me with pics on a semi regular basis.... sometimes they're gun pics, sometimes they're pics that can never be unseen. Dammit!
  11. I think Farkle got their matched AR15 set. It was a very tight match. I like their stuff. His entire AR (with red dot) only weight 4.9 lbdz
  12. Frank, that's waaaaaaaayyy too much info/work for what the OP wants to do. He's just asking how to swap stocks, not change the whole stock assembly.
  13. There's a button at the top of the message. It says "message" and brings out a drop down menu. On that menu you can choose to "leave conversation". That will erase all the message content in that discussion. Did that help?
  14. If you're building a dedicated 1k yard rifle, why stop at 22"? A 26" bull barrel will give you every bit of accuracy from that Ittybitty 6.5. The rifle will only be as reliable as the builder. The cartridge doesn't make it unreliable.
  15. I read the title "can you do this" and was getting ready to explain the story of how I sprained my neck, just before my naked azz rolled off the couch onto the floor. Gawdam dog made it look so easy!
  16. They're all right. I have a SI Defense (Pre-Falkor) .308 and I had a similar experience. You honestly bought THE very best machined receiver set on the market. Celebrate that your tolerances are what they are. Love taps will work. Screw in a pistol grip for more leverage. Once the rifle is fully assembled and you have the leverage, it gets much easier. When it's time to pew pew... you'll appreciate your situation 100x more.
  17. From my understanding, round nose cartridges just don't cycle in any AR type rifles. I had planned on pulling the projectiles out of some old mil surp .30 Carbine for my .300Blk. The feed ramps need those pointy cartridges. .
  18. no no no.... that's for my .22lr muzzle brake.I gotta tame the recoil on this beast.
  19. damn it!!! This is going to get expensive.... FAST!!!
  20. You guys need to find me a ULTRA LIGHT barrel for the TAKEDOWN model 10/22. Pickings are sliiiiiiim.
  21. Yeah.... I just found this... http://1022td-woodstocks-sales.blogspot.com/ Now I just have to find an ultra lightweight barrel for the takedown model.
  22. 25,000 is an overall estimated cost to get ALL their models on the list. The stupid handgun certification costs $500 AND the company has to submit 3 of the pistols. The pistols cannot vary in make/model/material/color/caliber/barrel length. If there's any variations, anot her $500 fee and 3 more pistols. If glock wanted their Gen4 line on CA's list, it would cost them approx $2k per pistol for approval.
  23. Did it get worked out?
