  6. SS are nice sleepers but they are pricey. I’m about ready for a fun car. Looking at lightly used camaro 14/15 z28 and CTS-V’s. I need the back seat.
  7. Nice job Wash!
  8. I would try to contact them with your specific questions. They do not specify any specific parts so it may be their receiver cut of choice. So you know, you can use an Armalite barrel and bcg in a DPMS frame. Or vise versa. What you can’t do is mix. Armalite and DPMS also use different thread patterns for hand guards. The Armalite recoil system is the most proven out of the box for a collapsible stock (DPMS will work too but many weird mix and match combos for generic vendors) and will work on both. Hope this clarifies some. My guess is you’ll spend 200 plus to make this kit work on top of initial purchase. That’s before you do the trigger or barrel upgrade. Is it worth the time and effort? That’s on you...
  9. This is the first I’ve seen it posted. Just a few things I’d be concerned with. To many references to Mil spec and Gi parts for my liking. 308AR’s have no standard, and many ar15 parts simply may not work. It has an Armalite cut on the receiver but accepts pmags, so it could be modeled after the A model. No big deal there. Not sure what you read that makes Armalite problematic, if I was looking to buy a complete rifle for under $1000 that would be my first place to start followed by Aero Precision. Do you have the tools to finish the lower? Have done them before? Also remember you get what you pay for, a quality 308 AR is not going to be cheap. Ask the guys struggling with PSA rifles...... ?
  10. I think if they say you don’t need ffl involvement then the new receiver would be engraved with the same serial number and old receiver destroyed
  11. Mine will have to wait until after October sometime......?
  12. Yup, but his site still works if typed into the browser
  13. There was a guy who’s bought three with three failures.
  14. Heavybuffers.com the silent spring is totally different than what you are thinking, it’s a captured spring from JP
  15. This man votes for .338 lapua....... and another item to the list we were talking about, fire extinguishers
  16. Looks like bird turd on the window or a splattered bug
  17. I would skip the adjustable gas block and say this for two reasons. It is easier to build the rifle and get it running without having to diagnose too many different things if you’re having issues. Having a regular low-profile gas block will illuminate gas as an issue to a certain extent or make it easier to diagnose a gas issue right off the cuff. Unless you absolutely plan on running suppressedI’d hold off on the adjustable gas block. I say this for two reasons. Having a regular low-profile gas block will illuminate gas as an issue to a certain extent or make it easier to diagnose a gas issue right off the cuff. Unless you absolutely plan on running suppressed, at which point I would suggest something like a switch block or an adjustable block with several gas positions versus screw or key
  18. This ^^. It’s easier to say you would shoot them but it doesn’t usually work out that a fist fight justifies lethal force. Also, I’ve read the after action. The perp was trying to grab it at one point. When that happens, our training teaches to grab the gun and make absolutely sure it doesn’t leave the holster, so we cover it in the holster effectively going to one hand. She did great, fell back on her training and survived. I’d work along side her anytime
  19. Santa Claus, is that you?!
  20. Thought I heard you pining away while we were on the phone, right on!
  21. Saw that. This is why my training shifted to what we talked about. This is what’s going on that people don’t want to hear. Being on K-9 is tip of the spear as far as street policing goes. Train train train. Then fall back on it when shtf.
  22. I’m not allowed to use armorer wrenches anymore.... Broke too many
  23. We were talking about this today
